Res 2008-37 Disciplining an EmployeeRESOLUTION NO. 08 -37 RESOLUTION DISCIPLINING AN EMPLOYEE WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed information relating to the discipline of an employee, including a draft letter notifying the employee of the discipline; WHEREAS, the City Council feels that it is in the best interest of the City of Mendota Heights to discipline the employee for the reasons stated in the letter referenced above; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, as follows: The employee is hereby disciplined for the reasons and to the extent stated in the draft letter referenced above. 2. The City Council hereby approves the letter to the employee. 3. The City Administrator is authorized to sign the letter on behalf of the City Council. 4. The City Administrator is directed to deliver the signed letter and a copy of this Resolution to the employee and to place a copy of these documents in the employee's personnel file. 5. The letter, including the reasons for the discipline and the severity of the discipline, is considered private personnel data under Minn. Stat. § 13.43 until a final disposition of the discipline occurs, as defined by that law. Acting Mayor Duggan introduced the above Resolution and moved its adoption: The motion for the adoption of this Resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Vitelli and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted unanimously in favor thereof.
