Res 2008-45 Bids/Contracts for Somerset Pk OverlayCity of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 08 - 45 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR SOMERSET PARK/EVERGREEN KNOLL STREET REHABILITATION AND TOWN CENTER OVERLAY AND RADIUS CONSTRUCTION (PROJECT NO. 200809) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the proposed construction of street paving and related appurtenant work for Bachelor Avenue, Deer Trail Court, Deer Trail Point, Evergreen Knoll, Gryc Court, Lansford Lane, Pamela Lane, Round Hill Road, Stanwich Lane, Sutton Lane, Trail Road and Wachtler Avenue from Evergreen Knoll to Wentworth Avenue and Market Street radius improvement and Main Street Overlay to serve the area referred to as Somerset Park/Evergreen Knoll Street Rehabilitation and Town Center Overlay and Radius Construction (Project No. 200809), bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with said advertisement: Bituminous Roadways Tower Asphalt McNamara Contracting Ace Blacktop Valley Paving Hardrives, Inc. and $459,329.35 $462,919.00 $481,034.61 $499,963.50 $500,998.00 $508,844.16 WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommended that the low bid submitted by Bituminous Roadways of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, be accepted. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the bids for the above project are hereby received and accepted. 2. That the bid of Bituminous Roadways of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, submitted for the construction of the above described improvements be and the same is hereby accepted. 3. That the contract be awarded to Bituminous Roadways of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, and that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver any and all contractors and documents necessary to consummate the awarding of said bids.
