VILLAGE OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE MINNESOTA
STATE PLUMBERS CODE AND PROVIDING
FOR.VIOLATIONS.
The Village Council of Mendota Heights ordains as follows:
Section 1. State Plumbing Code Adapted. The Minnesota
Plumbing Code— of Minimum Standards as adopted by the Minnesota
State Board of Health July 20, 1937, as amended May 9, 1939,
January 14, 1947, and October 16, 1951, is hereby adopted and
shall be in full force and effect in this Village insofar
as applicable to plumbing and building construction therein.
All work done hereafter in the Village of Mendota Heights
shall be done in accordance ' with the provisions thereof,
except that extra-heavy weight cast iron pipe shall be used
for underground use for two-family two unit residential con-
nections or smaller.
Section 2. Copies of Code to be Filed. Three copies of the
above code shall be filed by the Village Clerk in the Village
Hall for inspection and use by the public, and shall be marked
by the Clerk with the words "Village of Mendota Heights -
Official Copy". This ordinance shall become effective upon
such filing and upon the publication hereof as required by law.
Section 3. Enforcement. It shall be the duty of the plumbing
inspector designated by the Village Council to enforce the
provisions of this ordinance. At least two inspections shall
be required, one when the rough work is completed and one upon
completion of the work.
Section 4. Exceptions. The provisions of this ordinance are in
addition to and not in lieu of any provisions of the State
Plumbing Code.
Section 5. Penalty. Any person failing to comply with the
provisions off` TH�isordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by -a fine of not
to exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment for not to exceed ninety
(90) days.
Section 6. Repeal. All provisions of ordinances inconsistent
with said code and this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 7. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in force
and effect from and after its publication according to law.
Enacted and ordained into an ordinance this day of
November, 1962.
