Ord 64 Registration of Motor Vehicles3 Village of Mendota Heights Dakota County., Minnesota ORDINANCE NO. C/O// AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND THE LICENSING OF PERSONS OPERATING VEHICLES WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATIONS THEREOF" AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 42 The Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights ordains as follows: Section 1. Ordinance No. 20, entitled "An Ordinance Providing for the Registration of Motor Vehicles and the Licensing of Persons Operating Vehicles within the Village of Mendota Heights and Imposing Penalties for the Violations Thereof" as amended by Ordinance No. 42.adopted November 19., 1963 is hereby amended in the following respects: (A) Section 1 thereof is hereby amended so as to read as follows: SECTION 1. Every motor vehicle used or operated on any highway within the Village of Mendota Heights shall be registered in compliance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1965, Chapter 168, as amended by Laws 1967. (B) Section 2 thereof is hereby amended so as to read as follows: SECTION 2. Every person who is required by Minnesota Statutes 1965, Chapter 171, as amended by Laws 1967, to be licensed in order to operate a.vehicle or a motor vehicle upon a highway within the State of Minnesota shall, at all times while operating a vehicle or motor vehicle on any highway within the Village of Mendota Heights, have in his immediate possession a license issued in compliance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1965, Chapter 171, as amended by Laws 1967 and then valid. Ordinance #64, pg 2 (C) Section 3 thereof is hereby amended so as to read as follows: SECTION 3. Definitions. The words and phrases "vehicle" "motor vehicle", "highway", person" and "owner" shall have the meanings ascribed to them by Minnesota Statutes 1965, Sections 168.011 and 171.01, as amended by Laws 1967. Section 2. Effective date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication according to law. Enacted and ordained into an ordinance this lst day of August, 1967.
