Pilot Knob Open House
There was beautiful weather for the open
house at Historic Pilot Knob on Sunday. The
open house was for the Partners in
Preservation Grant Program. Pilot Knob
Preservation brought some nice displays on
the history of the site. Jake Sedlacek from the
city and Todd Rexine from Great River
Greening were also on hand to answer
questions about the site. The event was well
attended, keeping volunteers busy all
afternoon.
The City Offers Administrator
Position to Justin Miller
The City Council has offered its top position
to Justin Miller, city administrator of Falcon
Heights. In addition, Miller previously
worked as the Assistant City Manager for
Chanhassen and in the city of Des Moines,
Iowa.
Miller was one of three finalists including
Michael Ericson, city administrator of Hugo
and Samantha Orduno, city administrator of
Dayton interviewed by the city council. The
council unanimously chose Justin citing his
energy, vision and professionalism as a
good fit for the city. Miller accepted a
conditional offer and we anticipate him to
begin as City Administrator sometime in
December.
