RESOLUTION NO. 09-23
A RESOLUTION GRANTING AN EXTENSION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A
HOTEL AND RETAIL SALES AND SERVICE COMPLEX AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
PILOT KNOB ROAD AND NORTHLAND DRIVE
WHEREAS, Mendota Heights Lodging Investors applied for a conditional use permit,
preliminary and final plat to construct a hotel and retail service center on the parcel located on
the southeast corner of Pilot Knob Road and Northland Drive [PID 27- 48300 - 010 -06, L 1136
Mendota Heights Industrial Park] as presented in planning case 08 -25, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this request at their
August 26, 2008 meeting, and
WHEREAS, the Planning commission recommended approval of the conditional use
permit, preliminary and final plat as presented in planning case 08 -25, and
WHEREAS, the City Council granted the conditional use permit, preliminary and final
plat on October 7, 2008, and
Whereas, the North Central Group has requested a one year extension to the approval of
the conditional use permit, citing the current economic climate as a reason to delay the project,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights to approve a one year extension to the conditional use permit, setting a new expiration
date of April 7, 2010.
