Minutes of the Adjourned Meeting
Held Wednesday, November 29, 1989
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the adjourned meeting of
the City Council, City of Mendota Heights was held at 7:00
o'clock P.M. on Wednesday, November 29, 1989 at City Hall, 1101
Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, Minnesota.
Mayor Mertensotto called the meeting to order at 7:05 o'clock
P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Mertensotto,
Councilmembers Anderson, Blesener, Cummins and Hartmann.
COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
Beginning at 7:05 the City Council
interviewed, at five minute intervals,
candidates for vacancies on both the Planning
Commission and the Park and Recreation
Commission. The candidates interviewed were
Carolyn Dreelan, William Healey, Steven P.
Kleinglass, Stephan Hunter, James G. Awada,
Walter Moynagh Jr. Each candidate gave a
short personal description and stated why
they wanted to serve as a commissioner.

Councilmember John Hartmann moved to appoint
Carolyn Dreelan to finish the unexpired term
of Burt Anderson on the Planning Commission
with the intention that she be reappointed at
the end of the term which expires Jan. 30,
1990. Councilmember Anderson seconded the
motion.
Jan Blesener moved to appoint Steven
Kleinglass to finish the unexpired term of
Bev Lachenmayer on the Parks and Recreation
Commission. Councilmember Hartmann seconded
the motion.
By general consensus, Council stated their
intention, that Stephan Hunter be designated
as a commission alternate if, in the near

future, a Parks and Recreation Commission
vacancy occurs.
Mayor Mertensotto moved to convene City
Council as a public body on December 5, 1989
at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Metropolitan
Aircraft Sound Abatement Council at 6040 28th
Avenue South, Minneapolis for the purpose of
giving the address for the Braslau Study that
will be presented to MASAC that evening.
Councilmember Hartmann seconded.
There being no further business to come
before the Council, Councilmember Hartmann
moved that the meeting be adjourned to the
next regularly scheduled on Wednesday
December 6th at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at City
Hall. Councilmember Anderson seconded the
motion.
