Res 2026-28 Res Approving Amended CJN JPACity of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION 2026-28 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDED AND RESTATED CRIMINAL JUSTICE NETWORK JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 471.59, political subdivisions in the State of Minnesota are empowered to provide assistance to, and act in coordination with, other political subdivisions as deemed necessary to benefit the public; and WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights previously entered into a Joint Powers Agreement Establishing the Criminal Justice Network Board, as amended by the First Amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement Establishing the Criminal Justice Network effective August 28, 2024; and WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights desires to continue to be part of a joint powers entity and joint powers board referred to as the "Criminal Justice Network" of "CJN" to collaboratively accomplish their mutual goals of improving and supporting criminal justice agency information management systems and capabilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights desires to support the Amended and Restated Criminal Justice Network Joint Powers Agreement, NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights does hereby approve the Amended and Restated Criminal Justice Network Joint Powers Agreement.
