RESOLUTION 10 -07
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WETLANDS PERMIT FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF A
STORMWATER POND AT 1695 DODD ROAD
WHEREAS, Ryan Ruzek, on behalf of the City of Mendota Heights has applied for a wetlands
permit for the maintenance of a stormwater pond at 1695 Dodd Road [Lot 42 Auditors Subdivision; PID
27- 03800 - 010 -42] as proposed in Planning Case #09 -41; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at their regular
meeting on December 22, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission recommended that the Council approve the wetlands
permit for the maintenance of a stormwater pond as presented to the Planning Commission on the
evening of December 22, 2009 and as shown in Planning Case #09 -41;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mendota Heights that a wetlands peimit for the maintenance of a stoimwater pond as proposed in
Planning Case #09 -41 is hereby approved with the following findings:
1. The project meets the intent of the Wetlands Ordinance.
2. The project has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer.
3. The project is necessary as a function of the City's stormwater management system.
4. The project will improve the function of the pond as a wetland.
5. The grading and vegetation surrounding the pond will be unchanged.
6. The shape of the pond will be unchanged.
