RESOLUTION 10 -11
A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR RIGHT OF WAY VACATION
ON WALSH LANE, WAGENKNECHT'S ADDITION
WHEREAS, the original plat of the WAGENKNECHT'S ADDITION established roadway and
utility easements in locations where future roads and utilities would someday be constructed; and
WHEREAS, Walsh Lane was ultimately constructed with a different alignment than originally
proposed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights sees no foreseeable use for either roadway or utility of
the portion of the original right of way as recorded at Dakota County described as follows:
All that part of Walsh Lane as delineated and dedicated on WAGENKNECHT'S ADDITION, DAKOTA COUNTY,
MINN., according to the recorded plat thereof Dakota County, Minnesota, described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 6, said WAGENKNECHT'S ADDITION, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINN.;
thence southerly, a distance of 160.00 feet, along the west line of said Lot 6, to a point of curve in said west line;
thence deflecting to the right, 90 degrees, a distance of 66 feet, to the east line of Lot 13, said WAGENKNECHT'S
ADDITION, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINN. and its southerly extension; thence deflecting to the right, 90 degrees,
along said east line of Lot 13 and its southerly extension, a distance of 10.00 feet; thence southerly, along the last
described course, a distance of 10.00 feet, to the point of beginning; thence southeasterly, a distance of 102.38
fret, along a tangential curve, concave to the northeast, having a central angle of 68 degrees 12 minutes 28
seconds and a radius of 86.00 feet, to the north line of Lot 15, said WAGENKNECHT'S ADDITION, DAKOTA
COUNTY, MINN.; thence westerly, not tangent to said curve, along said north line, a distance of 54.07 feet, to
said southerly extension of the east line of Lot 13; thence northerly, a.distance of 79.61 feet, along said southerly
extension of the east line of Lot 13, to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mendota Heights:
1. The Council will consider the vacation of such easement and a public hearing shall be held on
such proposed vacation on the 16"' day of March, 2010, before the City Council in the City
Hall located at 1101 Victoria Curve at 7 pm.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give published, posted and mailed notice of such hearing
as required by law.
