RESOLUTION 10 -17
A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR RIGHT OF WAY VACATION
ON WALSH LANE, WAGENKNECHT'S ADDITION
WHEREAS, the original plat of the WAGENKNECHT'S ADDITION established roadway and
utility easements in locations where future roads and utilities would someday be constructed; and
WHEREAS, Property owners of said Lot 15 granted additional property to the city; and
WHEREAS, Walsh Lane was ultimately constructed with a different alignment than originally
proposed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights sees no foreseeable use for either roadway or utility of
the portion of the original right of way as recorded at Dakota County described as follows:
That portion of Lot 15 lying easterly of the following described line: Beginning at a point on the most easterly
line of said Lot 15 at the easterly extension of a line which is 47 feet south and parallel with the most northerly
line of said Lot 15; then northwesterly 56 feet, more or less, to the curve point 128.4 feet easterly from NW
corner of said Lot 15 and there terminating. All in Wagenknechts Addition, Dakota County, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mendota Heights:
1. The Council will consider the vacation of such easement and a public hearing shall be held
on such proposed vacation on the 20th day of April, 2010, before the City Council in the City
Hall located at 1101 Victoria Curve at 7 pm.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give published, posted and mailed notice of such hearing
as required by law.
