Res 2012- 25 Contract for Pedestrian Safety Imprv Hwy 110-Dodd RdCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2012-25 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL AND AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT AGREEMENT FOR PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS AT HIGHWAY 110 AND DODD ROAD WHEREAS, it has been a long-standing goal of the City of Mendota Heights to improve pedestrian safety at the intersection of State Trunk Highway 110 and State Trunk Highway 149 (Dodd Road); and WHEREAS, the City completed a Feasibility Report in 2009 that defined potential pedestrian safety improvements with advantages, disadvantages, and cost estimates; and WHEREAS, the City Council chose to pursue at-grade intersection pedestrian safety improvements as a result of the completed Feasibility Report; and WHEREAS, the City applied for and received a Fiscal Year 2013 Transportation Enhancement grant through the Metropolitan Council to construct at-grade improvements; and WHEREAS, City staff solicited for professional services through the issuance of a Request For Proposals (RFP) document, received and scored proposals from prospective consulting firms, and is making a recommendation for contract award. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; by the Mendota Heights City Council: 1. That the proposal submitted by SRF Consulting Group for the not-to-exceed price of $89,546.00 is hereby accepted. 2. That the City Administrator, with the aid and assistance of the Public Works Director/City Engineer be and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a professional services contract agreement with SRF Consulting Group for the not-to- exceed price of $89,546.00 to complete work as outlined in the RFP and the accepted proposal document.
