12 20 24 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 12/13/24, 0306 HOURS, 6XX MARIE AVE SUSPICIOUS PERSON Officers were dispatched to 600 block of Marie Ave for a report of 3 individuals ringing doorbells in the neighborhood. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with 3 runaway juveniles. Officer's contacted guardian's of juveniles and Saint Paul Police Department. 12/13/24, 0948 HOURS, 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY HIT & RUN ACCIDENT Officer received a report of a hit and run vehicle accident that occurred on private property. No suspects. 12/13/24, 1200 HOURS, 18XX DELAWARE AVE HARASSING COMMUNICATION A sexual image of a student was shared on Instagram which was determined to have been sent by a juvenile female to a juvenile male who then shared it with a friend who posted it on Instagram. It was determined criminal charges was not the best avenue in this situation and other remedies were advised. 12/14/24, 0917 HOURS, 7XX N PLAZA DR PROPERTY DAMAGE Officer received a report of a vehicle that was damaged in the parking lot in the 700 block of North Plaza Drive. The vehicle had been side swiped with a note written. The suspect was located. Report filed. 12/14/24, 1307 HOURS, 1XXX CULLEN AVE HARASSMENT Officer took a report from the 1000 block of Cullen Avenue of harassing communication from a known person. Officer gathered information and provided information about restraining orders. 12/14/24, 1923 HOURS, 11XX DODD RD DOMESTIC Officer was dispatched to a domestic at the 1100 block of Dodd Rd. The reporting party stated that his girlfriend hit him and threw items at him. Officer gathered information and video footage. Officers arrest one adult female and transported her to Dakota County Jail. 12/15/24, 1251 HOURS, MENDOTA RD/OAK ST DRIVER EVAL Officer was flagged down by a motorist in the area of Mendota Rd and Oak St. After speaking with all involved parties, it was determined that driver had diminishing mental health and officer determined that they were not safe to drive. Family was called and came to drive the car home. Officer filed a drivers evaluation for the driver. December 13th—December 19th, 2024 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 12/15/24, 1655 HOURS, DODD RD/S PLAZA DR PD ACCIDENT Unit 2 was traveling northbound Dodd Road and South Plaza Drive with unit 1 and 3 traveling the same direction behind it. Unit 2 slowed down in the roadway and unit 1 began to pass on the shoulder/right as the three units approached North Plaza Drive. As unit 2 was passing on the shoulder, unit 1 thought they were going to be struck and veered to the left striking unit 3 as it was entering the turn lane to go west on Highway 62. When unit 2 struck unit 3, it then steered to the right and struck unit 1. Unit 1 then stopped in the lane of travel north of North Plaza Drive. Unit 2 and 3 went into a nearby gas station parking lot. 12/15/24, 2246 HOURS, HWY 62/DELAWARE AVE DWI Officer was on routine patrol on Highway 62 near Dodd Road. Officer observed a vehicle driving slowly in the left lane. Officer got behind the vehicle and observed multiple driving infractions. Vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Highway 62 and Delaware Avenue. The driver was put through roadside sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. Driver was booked and released at the Dakota County Jail. 12/16/24, 0806 HOURS, 24XX POND CIRCLE W PD ACCIDENT Officer responded to the 2000 block of Pond Circle W in response to an accident without injuries. Officer made contact with driver and noticed signs of impairment. Driver completed SFSTs and was found to not be under the influence. 12/17/24, 0030 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR ASSAULT Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Northland Dr on a welfare check. When officers arrived, the victim informed officers she was the victim of a domestic assault. Officers located the suspect on Northland Dr and she was arrested for Domestic Assault - Strangulation. 12/19/24, 1721 HOURS, HWY13/HWY 35E PURSUIT Officer was advised that another agency had pursued a vehicle and its last known location was in the direction of Mendota Heights. Officer looked through area and located the vehicle. Officer initiated a short pursuit before terminating. December 13th—December 19th, 2024
