Minnesota Statutes §205.185, subd. 3, requires the governing body of a city to certify election results between the third and tenth day following the election. FISCAL AND RESOURCE IMPACT: N/A ATTACHMENTS: 1.2024 Canvassing Resolution CITY COUNCIL PRIORITY: Premier Public Services & Infrastructure, Inclusive and Responsive Government Page 2 of 3 CITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2024-77 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF THE NOVEMBER 5, 2024, GENERAL ELECTION WHEREAS, the General Election was held on November 5, 2024, for the office of the Mayor and two seats for the office of Council Member; and WHEREAS, the City Council acts as the Election Canvassing Board in order to canvass the results of the 2024 General Election; and WHEREAS, on the 12th day of November 2024, the City Council has met to canvass said election results. The votes tabulated at said election were: Mayor (Elect One) Stephanie Levine 6,374 Write Ins 268 City Council (Election Two) John P. Maczko 5,187 Joel Paper 5,158 Write Ins 184 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mendota Heights City Council that the following persons are hereby declared to have been elected and qualify for the office of Mayor and City Council Members in the General Election of November 5, 2024, as follows: Mayor (2-year term) Stephanie Levine 6,374 City Council (Each a 4-year term) John P. Maczko 5,187 Joel Paper 5,158 Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights on this 12th day of November 2024.
