Weekly Crime Report
January 13th—January 19th, 2023
01/13/23, 0530 HOURS, 23XX LEXINGTON AVE ASSAULT
Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue for a domestic. Officers made contact with an
adult male who was having a mental health crisis. The male physically resisted Officers. The person was
transported to an area hospital for further care. Case forwarded for charging.
01/13/23, 1329 HOURS, HWY 55/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD FLEEING
Mendota Heights officers observed a stolen truck that was involved in a burglary in Inver Grove Heights. Officer
attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled. Vehicle was later stopped in Bloomington by the Bloomington Police
Department. The driver was identified and remained in Bloomington's custody.
01/13/23, 1513 HOURS, 25XX HAVERTON RD IDENTITY THEFT
Resident on the 2500 block of Haverton Rd reported a credit card was opened in their name and charges were
made on it. Case forwarded to investigations.
01/14/23, 0259 HOURS, LEXINGTON AVE S/VICTORIA CURVE DWI
Officer observed a vehicle stopped at Lexington Avenue and the Victoria Curve intersection. Officer initiated a
traffic stop and made contact with the driver and detected significant signs of impairment. The driver admitted to
alcohol consumption. The driver was put through roadside sobriety tests and arrested for DWI. The driver was
charged with 2nd-degree DWI and booked into Dakota County Jail.
01/14/23, 0701 HOURS, 16XX DIANE RD FRAUD
Officer responded to the 1600 block of Diane Road on a report of financial transaction card fraud. Case is under
investigation.
01/16/23, 1354 HOURS, 5XX KIRCHNER AVE DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Officer took a damage to property report from the 500 block of Kirchner Ave. Resident reported his gas tank had a
drilled hole in it and that gas had leaked out. He believed this was done deliberately. No suspects.

01/17/23, 1811 HOURS, 18XX DELAWARE AVE MISSING CHILD
Officer was dispatched to location on a report of a missing child. Officer spoke with the child ’s father and the child
was picked up by an adult family member. The father and child were eventually reunited. The case was forwarded
to the county attorney for deprivation of parental rights charges.
01/18/23, 0336 HOURS, 16XX DIANE RD THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
Officer was on routine patrol in the area of Diane Road and Victoria Road. Officer found abandoned property and
returned the property to the owner. It was discovered that the property was stolen from their motor vehicle. No
suspects.
01/18/23, 1415 HOURS, 18XX DELAWARE AVE MENTAL HEALTH
Officer responded to location on a report of a juvenile having thoughts of self -harm. The juvenile was sent to the
hospital for a mental health evaluation.
01/19/23, 0229 HOURS, HWY 62/SOUTH LN DWI
Officer observed a vehicle driving on Highway 62 near South Lane. The registered owner did not have a driver's
license. Officer initiated a traffic stop and the driver was slow to stop. The driver showed signs of impairment and
admitted to alcohol consumption. The driver refused the DMT and was arrested for 2nd Degree DWI and carrying a
firearm while under the influence of alcohol without a permit. The driver was transported to the Dakota County
Jail.
