Outdoor Ice Rink Update
Due to the high temperatures and rain, the opening of outdoor ice rinks and warming
houses in Mendota Heights has been delayed.
Crews will begin flooding the rinks Dec. 17-18, and they will open as soon as the weather
cooperates for enough consecutive days to create the rink base. Follow Parks and
Recreation on Facebook for timely updates!
Dakota Co. Flu Vaccine Clinic
Thursday, Dec. 29
Northern Service Center, West St. Paul
12:30–5:30 p.m.
This free flu vaccine clinic is open to the public. The COVID-
19 vaccine/booster will also be available. Walk-ins are
welcome, but registrations are preferred.

Chloride Contamination
In Sept. 2022, the City Council adopted an ordinance
amending City Code Title 14-1-7, to regulate the use and
storage of de-icing materials containing chloride at
commercial, institutional and industrial facilities located within Mendota Heights.

Community Donates Hundreds of
Toys for Teens
The Police Department recently wrapped up its annual toy
donation drive and thanks to all of you who contributed, the
toys filled more than 20 giant bags – which were delivered
to the Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Dakota, Scott
and Carver County on Dec. 13. The toys will help CAP offer
a holiday shopping experience to teens experiencing
homelessness and families in need.
