October 21th—October 27th, 2022
10/21/2022, 1150 HOURS, 7XX PLAZA DRIVE THEFT
Unknown suspects entered a business in the 700 block of N Plaza Dr and stole items. The two suspects that
entered the store were one male, one female. These two arrived in a white GM cargo van. There was an identical
van in the lot at the same time. This second van arrived and left at the same time. Neither appeared to have
license plates on them. Staff is working on video. Case Status: Inactive
10/21/2022, 2320 HOURS, DELAWARE AVE IMPOUND
Officers were called to an abandoned vehicle at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Marie Avenue. Officers
arrived and confirmed the vehicle was abandoned in the intersection. Marks Tow was called and the vehicle was
impounded.
10/22/2022, 0216 HOURS, PILOT KNOB ROAD DWI
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation. The driver was delayed to respond to the
officer's enforcement action and only stopped their vehicle when officers successfully boxed them in. While
speaking with the driver, the officer noticed signs of impairment and conducted and field sobriety test. The driver
was determined to be over the legal limit and placed under arrest. The vehicle was impounded to Marks Tow and
the driver was booked and released from the Dakota County Jail for 3rd degree gross misdemeanor DWI -Test
Refusal.
10/22/2022, 1411 HOURS, 13XX MENDOTA RD AOA
Officer heard a neighboring jurisdiction asking for assistance on the radio. Officer arrived at the 1300 block of
Mendota Road and found two Officers talking to a very agitated male. A Bola Wrap device was deployed, and a
total of six Officers were required to control the male so that Paramedics could take him to the hospital for his
excited delirium. Information only.
10/22/2022, 2230 HOURS, 10XX DAKOTA DRIVE THEFT OF MV
Officer dispatched to a theft of motor vehicle report at the 1000 block of Dakota Rd. The reporting party advised
that his vehicle was stolen from his garage sometime overnight. Officer gathered information and wrote report.
Vehicle was entered as stolen.
10/23/2022, 2134 HOURS, 22XX LEXINGTON AVE WARRANT ARREST
Officer on routine patrol on the 2200 block of Lexington Avenue. Officer located an adult male on foot outside of
residence known to have a felony possession of child pornography warrant. Officer arrest adult male and
transported him to the Dakota County jail. Report made. Inactive.

10/24/2022, 2229 HOURS, HWY 35E TAX EVASION
Officer stopped vehicle for a moving violation and expired tabs. Investigation concluded that the driver intended
to evade MV tax. Driver was arrested and transported to Dakota Jail. Case Status - Arrest.
10/25/2022, 1231 HOURS, 10XX MARIE AVE THEFT
Officer was called by a woman living near the 1000 block of Marie Avenue. She had seen two male parties steal a
check she had placed in her outgoing mail. The information was collected, and a report was completed.
Information only.
10/25/2022, 1341 HOURS, 8XX MENDAKOTA CT HARASSMENT
Officer received a report of harassing text messages in the 800 block of Mendakota CT. Made contact with suspect
who was advised to have no contact and provided victim with a case number to obtain a harassment restraining
order. CLEAR
10/26/2022, 0434 HOURS, HWY 35E NB TRAFFIC STOP
Officer was traveling north on I-35E and Wagon Wheel Trail. In front of the Officer was a vehicle of which the
registered owner had a driving status of canceled-IPS. Officer stopped the vehicle and learned the driver was not
the registered owner. While speaking with the driver, the Officer observed marijuana in the vehicle. The driver
stepped out for the Officer to conduct a vehicle search. When the Officer attempted to obtain the drivers name,
the driver provided a false name to the Officers. The driver was advised he was under arrest and he pulled away
from the Officers and began to run. An Officer was successfully able to deploy a TASER and the driver fell to the
ground and put in handcuffs. He was transported to jail.
10/27/2022, 1309 HOURS, 8XX SIBLEY MEM HWY 1ST DEG DRUGS
Observed vehicle N/B Hwy 13 from Riverside Lane at high rate of speed. Traffic stop, driver provided false state of
identity. Driver was advised of arrest, asked to exit vehicle. During search incident to arrest, suspected narcotics
were found in the suspects pockets. The substance was white powder. Search for impound revealed a loaded
handgun under the drivers seat. Contact with vehicle owner, vehicle had been stolen out of Wisconsin. report to
be filed. Suspect transported to jail on drug, property crime and weapon charges.
10/27/2022, 1542 HOURS, HWY 55 EB TAX EVASION
Officer stopped a vehicle at Highway 55 and Northland Drive for displaying expired registration. Vehicle was towed
and case will be forwarded to city attorney to review for gross misdemeanor tax evasion charges. Case status clear
with report.
10/27/2022, 1759 HOURS, 7XX NORTH PLAZA DR FRAUD
Officers responded to the 700 block of North Plaza Drive for someone trying to pass a fraudulent prescription. The
suspect was not located. Case will be forwarded to investigations.
