September 2nd—September 8th, 2022
9/02/2022, 0654 HOURS, DODD RD/MARIE AVE DWI
Officer was dispatched to a driving complaint at the intersection of Dodd Rd and Marie Ave. Caller followed sus-
pect vehicle and provided information to dispatch. Officer located suspect vehicle. Driver admitted to being under
the influence while driving. Officer placed driver under arrest and located paraphernalia on his person. Officer
completed blood draw search warrant. Officer transported driver to Dakota County Jail.
9/02/2022, 1342 HOURS, 22XX COPPERFIELD DR FRAUD
Complainant who lives on the 2200 block of Copperfield reported six fraudulent checks were cashed from their
checking account. Limited information at the time the incident was reported. Case status pending follow up with
victim and bank.
9/02/2022, 1423 HOURS, 7XX EVERGREEN KNOLL THEFT
Officer was dispatched to a theft of a catalytic converter on the 700 block of Evergreen Knolls. The reporting party
stated that his catalytic converter was stolen sometime over the past week. No suspects.
9/02/2022, 1716 HOURS, 13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY THEFT
Officers responded to a theft from motor vehicle on the 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. A window was
smashed and cash was stolen from the center console. There are no suspects at this time.
9/03/2022, 1229 HOURS, 7XX S PLAZA DR WELFARE CHECK
Officer was dispatched a welfare check on the 700 block of South Plaza Dr. The reporting party advised that a staff
member was picked up by her boyfriend and has not been heard from. The reporting party advised that she
received information from other staff that the staff member may be in danger. Officer gathered information and a
KOPS Alert was sent out to check the welfare of the staff member. On 9/4/22 officer made contact with the female
who advised she was ok. KOPS Alert was cancelled.
9/03/2022, 1309 HOURS, 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY MISSING PERSON
Officer took a report of a missing person from the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. An adult female was last
seen leaving work and had not been heard from since. Apparently the female was with her boyfriend in St. Paul
then picked up by a Lyft. Entered as missing. A short while later, the female contacted family and advised she was
safe and just needed time to cool off.

9/03/2022, 1844 HOURS, 494/35E AOA
Officers overheard State Patrol dispatch a fight call to one of their troopers on westbound 494 at 35E. They then
said the male was running up the hill. Officer went to the area of Hwy 55 over 35E and observed a male walking
along the guardrail. He saw me and stopped. Officer waved him to come to me and he did. He was sweating and
his speech was rapid. Another officer clarified over the radio that this was the male that State Patrol was looking
for. Officer detained the man and handed him over to the custody of State Patrol.
9/03/2022, 2023 HOURS, HWY 62/35E WEAPONS
Officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and vehicle was stopped at Hwy 62/35E. Driver was making
furtive movements and a firearm with no serial number was recovered. Driver was taken to Dakota County Jail.
9/04/2022, 0005 HOURS, SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY/35E PURSUIT
Officer attempted to stop a speeding vehicle, but it fled. Officer pursued the vehicle for a short time but then
terminated the pursuit due to unsafe driving conditions.
9/04/2022, 0028 HOURS, 3RD ST/E ST DWI
Officer was on patrol and observed a suspicious male at the intersection of 3rd St/E St in Mendota. Male was
determined to be under the influence. He was arrested and later transported to Dakota County Jail.
9/04/2022, 1152 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR THEFT
Officer was dispatched to a theft of a catalytic converter on the 1300 block of Northland Dr. The reporting party
advised that his vehicle's catalytic converter was stolen some time overnight. No suspects.
9/04/2022, 1424 HOURS, 6XX EVERGREEN KNOLL THEFT
Officer was dispatched to a theft of a catalytic converter on the 600 block of Evergreen Knoll. The reporting party
advised that he found that his catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle. No suspects.
9/04/2022, 2321 HOURS, 494E/35E OFP SERVICE
Officer stopped a vehicle for speed and the driver had an unserved temporary OFP against them. Officer issued an
OFP short form to the driver.
9/05/2022, 0619 HOURS, 13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY BURGLARY
Officers were dispatched to an after the fact suspicious person on the 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Highway.
Reporting party had confronted an unknown male in a vehicle parked at his work place. Later, a broken window
was found at a nearby establishment. After investigation, officers found blood on the inside of the other side of
the broken window. Burglary investigation active.

9/05/2022, 1706 HOURS, 12XX NORTHLAND DR THREATS
Officer took a report from an employee of a business who was receiving threatening text messages from a client.
Case forwarded to Dakota County Attorney’s office for formal charges.
9/07/2022, 1430 HOURS, 16XX LILYDALE RD DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Officer responded to location on a damage to property report. Victim had parked his vehicle in the parking lot of
Big Rivers Trail and when he returned, he discovered a window was shattered on his vehicle. A cooler with four
beers was stolen. No suspects.
9/07/2022, 1535 HOURS, 1XXX WAGON WHEEL TR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Officer was dispatched to location on a report of slashed tires. The incident was caught on camera and the
suspect was recognized as a former client. A citation was mailed to the suspect.
9/07/2022, 2238 HOURS, 12XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD WARRANT
Officer was approached by a pedestrian on the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road who stated he had an active
Dakota County warrant and wanted to turn himself in. Officer confirmed the pedestrian indeed had an active
warrant and was booked in to the Dakota County Jail without incident for their warrant.
9/08/2022, 0236 HOURS, 35E/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD DWI
Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation. While speaking with the driver, the officer
observed signs of impairment and conducted field sobriety tests. The driver was determined to be over the legal
limit and booked and released from Dakota County Jail.
9/08/2022, 1138 HOURS, 1XXX WILLIAM CT IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1000 block of William Ct fell victim to a phone scam. The scammer was able to get the victims
social security number. No loss.
9/08/2022, 1650 HOURS, 35E/LONE OAK RD DRUGS
Officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle with expired registration. Officer conducted a traffic stop and
learned that the driver had multiple warrants. Officer found suspected drugs in the vehicle. Driver was arrested
and transported to Dakota County Jail.
9/08/2022, 1915 HOURS, 14XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY PD ACCIDENT
Officers responded to a road rage incident. As a result of the incident, the reporting party had backed into a
parked trailer.
