August 12th - August 18th, 2022
8/12/2022, 0800 HOURS, 11XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Officer responded to the 1100 block of Sibley Memorial Highway on a report of bias motivated graffiti to a
public utility box. The graffiti was promptly removed. No known suspects.
8/12/2022, 1100 HOURS, 9XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS ROAD FOUND PROPERTY
City employee turned in a cell phone that was found in the 900 block of Mendota Heights Road. Item was
placed into evidence for safekeeping.
8/12/2022, 2016 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR THEFT
Officer was dispatched to a report of past action theft on the 1300 block of Northland drive. Officer
determined a catalytic converter had been taken from a vehicle. Officer gathered information and wrote
report. There are currently no suspects, case is inactive.
8/12/2022, 2323 HOURS, 7XX LINDEN ST CHECK WELFARE
Officers were dispatched to a welfare check on the 700 block of Linden Ave. Officers were given
information that raised concerns about the party inside the building. Officers made contact and the party
was ok.
8/13/2022, 0308 HOURS, 35E NB DWI
Officer was travelling northbound on HWY 35E, and stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Officer
determined the driver to be intoxicated. Driver was arrested brought to Dakota county Jail.
8/13/2022, 0807 HOURS, 10XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY FALSE IMPRISONMENT
Officers were called to the 1000 block of Sibley Memorial Highway for reported suspicious activity. On
scene it was found that a female had been falsely imprisoned by an unknown male suspect. All available
information was collected and the victim was transported back home to St. Paul. Case sent for charging.
8/13/2022, 1620 HOURS, 5XX FREMONT ST THEFT
Resident on the 500 block of Fremont reported their mail was stolen, debit card was activated, and cash
was withdrawn from their account. Resident reported the loss to the bank. This case will be forwarded
to investigations for follow up.

8/14/2022, 0725 HOURS, 5XX FREMONT ST TAMPERING WITH A MV
Officer dispatched to a suspicious person call at the 500 block of Fremont St. The reporting party stated
that an unknown person was going through his neighbors vehicle; the reporting party advised that the
suspect had since left the scene in a vehicle. Officer spoke with vehicle owner and found that nothing
was missing. Vehicle owner provided photo of suspect that he got from security footage. The reporting
party provided suspect plate and Officer located possible suspect. Officers later learned that suspect
vehicle had stolen plates on it. Officers advised SPPD and wrote report. SPPD later advised that they
had located the vehicle and suspect. Officer wrote suspect a citation.
8/15/2022, 1413 HOURS, 15XX COMMERCE DRIVE THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Officer dispatched to a theft of a motor vehicle at the 1500 block of Commerce Dr. The reporting party
stated that a work vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. Officer gathered information and wrote
report.
8/15/2022, 1821 HOURS, DELAWARE AVE DISTURBANCE
Officers were dispatched to a possible assault near Delaware Avenue and Marie Avenue. After speaking
with all parties involved, the officer was unable to determine if a crime took place. Report as
information only.
8/15/2022, 1000 HOURS, 7XX PLAZA DRIVE MISC PUBLIC
Officer was dispatched to a report of a damage to property at the 700 block of Dodd Road. The caller had
her back window smashed. It is believed to have been caused by a golf ball from across the street. Case
Status - Report.
8/16/2022, 1031 HOURS, 23XX WATERS DR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Officer called to the 2300 block of Waters Drive reference the damage of property. I was told that a semi
truck had driven over fresh cement. On scene I found that both involved parties had exchanged all
needed information and that there was no intent. The damage had already been corrected. The report is
for information only.
8/16/2022, 1524 HOURS, 21XX LEXINGTON AVE THEFT
Officer was dispatched to a report of a theft at the 2100 block of Lexington Ave. A theft had occurred.
There are no suspects. Case status is inactive.
8/16/2022, 1540 HOURS, 12XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD TAMPERING WITH MV
Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road for a report of a vehicle rummaged
through. The reporting party had a license plate of the suspect vehicle. The license plate was
determined to have been stolen. Case Inactive.

8/16/2022, 1653 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DRIVE THEFT
Officer was dispatched to a report of a catalytic converter theft on the 1300 block of Northland Drive.
Officer determined that a theft had occurred. No suspects. Case Status - Inactive
8/16/2022, 1947 HOURS, 7XX SOUTH PLAZA DR FRAUD
Officer was dispatched to a report of a fraud at the 700 block of South Plaza Drive. Officer determined
that a crime had been committed. Case is under investigation.
8/17/2022, 0807 HOURS, 16XX DODD RD THEFT
Officers responded to the 1600 block of Dodd Rd on reports of a theft of a golf cart. The victim had
tagged the cart prior to them being placed into service so it was tracked to St Paul. The investigation is
ongoing.
8/17/2022, 1354 HOURS, 16XX LILYDALE RD DRUGS
Observed a vehicle parked on the path to the sewer pump building off of Lilydale Rd. Drove squad up
path, saw male walking down the hill, towards the vehicle. Male was hiding a black handle object in
waist band. Male was walking sideways to keep object from my vision. male opened car door, put item
inside of it and walked away. male was ordered to ground, detained, handcuffed for safety. Item was a
long blade knife, suspected meth and glass pipe found on male. Pending formal complaint. Male
released with vehicle.
8/18/2022, 2251 HOURS, 7XX NORTH PLAZA DR RECOVERED STOLEN
Officer located an unoccupied stolen vehicle on the 700 block of North Plaza Drive. Vehicle was
confirmed stolen and impounded. Case closed with report.
8/18/2022, 2304 HOURS, 10XX CHIPPEWA AVE THEFT
Officer was dispatched a past action report of theft on the 1000 block of Chippewa Ave. Officer spoke
with victim and determined there was evidence of theft. Officer gathered information and wrote report.
Investigation is ongoing.
8/18/2022, 2327 HOURS, 20XX CHRISTENSEN AV AOA/PURSUIT
Officer assisted West St. Paul Police in a vehicle pursuit. Suspect intentionally struck a pedestrian with
their vehicle. Suspect fled through Mendota Heights, and the vehicle was successfully stop -sticked.
State Patrol PIT the vehicle on the ramp from Highway 62 to Southbound Highway 5. The suspect ran on
foot and was captured and taken into custody by officers. Case status clear with report.
