Bring a lawn chair, meet new
friends, and chat with some of the commissions,
City sta, local nonprofits, and community groups
over complimentary coee and breakfast bars. Neighbors,
Inc. will be collecting nonperishable food donations.
Parks Celebration
11am–2pm | Mendakota Park
Enjoy inflatables, a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, putting
green, and more. Visit with local businesses and take part in
their booth activities.
Magic Show
6–7pm | Mendakota Park
Wrap up the day with the ACME
Magic Factory show featuring
magic, humor and fun for children
and families of all ages.
Pickleball
Tournament*
8–11am | Marie Park
Play in this doubles tournament (open
division). There is a limit of 32 teams
available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Teams may register online on the City’s
website or at City Hall. One person per pair
must be a resident of Mendota Heights.

Community Bike Ride
3–5pm | Mendakota Park
Decorate those wheels and get
ready for a family-friendly bike
ride. The route begins and
ends at the park, with free
snacks upon completion.

Stay in Touch Fall RecreationLight Up the Night Glow Dash/Party
Saturday, Sept 18 • 6:30–8:30pm • Garlough Park
Light up the night at Garlough Park with this family-friendly event
featuring music and games before you walk, run or push a stroller
through the illuminated 1.36 mile dash. The route is designed for all
ages and abilities (no dogs please). Each participant will receive a
glow swag bag filled with glow-in-the-dark accessories and more
to get glowing, and wear your favorite glow gear. There will be
refreshments following the event.
Cost: $10 per participant through Sept 9 | $15 on Sept 10 and after
Everyone participating must register.
Family Camp Night
Thursday, Sept 30 • 6–7:30pm • Dodge Nature Center
Camping enthusiasts and newbies alike will learn the
interworkings of a recreational fire— how to build one, how to start
one, and how to distinguish one. Participants will have the
opportunity to build their own personal fires with flint and other
fire starting materials. Dodge Nature Center Naturalists will share
their skills and knowledge. Participants will enjoy a snack over the
fire to end the evening.
Cost: $10 per person (ages five and under free)
Anyone under age 13 must be accompanied by a preregistered adult.
Conquer Ninja Warrior Gym Field Trip
Thursday, Oct 21 • 8:45am–4pm • Ages 6–12 Non-school day
In the morning train and compete like ninjas and in the afternoon
refuel with lunch, play group games, have playground time and
more. Bus drop o/pick up at Harmon Park Neighborhood Center in
West St. Paul. Please pack a beverage and a peanut-free bag lunch.
Cost: $30 per child
Afton Apple Corn Maze Field Trip
Friday, Oct 22 • 8:30am–4pm • Ages 6–12 Non-school day
Start by playing games and making crafts, then depart for
a picnic-style lunch at St. Croix Blus Regional Park,
followed by a visit to Afton Apple. In supervised small
groups explore the giant 15-acre corn maze, meet farm
animals, enjoy playgrounds, try mini-mazes, and see rows
and rows of apple trees. Bus drop o/pick up at Harmon
Park Neighborhood Center in West St. Paul. Please pack a
beverage and a peanut-free bag lunch.
Cost: $35 per child
Superhero Masquerade
Sunday, Nov 14 • 2–4pm • Ages 12 & under
Dakota Lodge WSP
Action, adventure and fun awaits your little superhero
at the Superhero Masquerade! Come dressed as your
favorite superhero and enjoy crafts, games, and
activities, a dance party and refreshments. Register
early - space is limited. An adult must be present
during the event.
Cost: $15 per participant
