Bundle up and experience a family-friendly winter walk through the park. Adventurers should meet at
4pm in Valley Park’s parking lot and will head north for a 2.06-mile route, ending back at the parking lot.
Extreme explorers can continue on with the next leg, heading south for a 1.74-mile route. A map of the
route is posted on the City’s website; the hiking paths are paved.

Ice Sculpture Carving

Watch as a penguin is carved and crafted
out of ice. While you’re watching, support local
businesses by purchasing a snack & hot drink to sip.

Chill to music by Retro Soul and the Westside Horns
featuring Big Mike, and enjoy blues rock inspired
originals and family-friendly good time oldies. A variety
of food trucks will be available to purchase from. There
will also be a snow sculpture contest for all ages at 3pm.
Warming tents and portable restrooms will be available
on site.

YOUTH Ice Fishing
9–11am ✱ Rogers Lake Park
Kids ages 14 and under can learn how to ice
fish with a hands-on introductory lesson and
demonstration. Sessions will be at 9am or 10am;
this is a free event but registration is required to participate.

Saturday, Jan 29 • Friendly Hills Outdoor Rink
Join the Mendota Heights Police Department and Parks and
Recreation for a fun day of recreational hockey. Team up with police
officers for three-on-three hockey games. Children must provide
their own equipment: helmets (bicycle or winter sports), sticks, and
ice skates. Registration is required.
Ages 6-9: 1−2pm | Ages 10-13: 2:30−3:30pm
SPORTS UNLIMITED HOCKEY CAMP
Monday, Feb 21 • Harmon Park Outdoor Rink, WSP • 11am-2pm
Participants will learn the rules of hockey and skills such as stick
handling, passing, and shooting, while working on team play and
sportsmanship. Children will be divided by age and skill level.
Campers must bring ice skates, a hockey stick, and hockey helmet;
gloves and pads are recommended.
Ages 5−10 • $26 per player • registration required

Join us the first Thursday of every month for free fun! Staff will set up
activities and provide equipment for youth and families to enjoy
including games, sports, crafts, and more. This is a drop-in
