DWI/ACCIDENT — DODD RD/WESLEY LN 01/22/21, 1925 HOURS
Officer was on rouƟne patrol and observed two vehicles pulled over on Wesley Lane and observed debris in
the middle of Dodd Road from an accident that had just occurred. Officer made contact with both parƟes
involved, no injuries were reported. One of the drivers was showing signs of impairment. Adult male driver
was arrested and cited for 4th degree DWI.
OFP VIOLATION — 2XXX APACHE CT 01/24/21, 1409 HOURS
Officers received informaƟon that a subject had been sending messages to his parents in violaƟon of a
protecƟon order in place. Subject was recently released from jail for a similar offense. While invesƟgaƟng,
the suspect called 911 saying he was in crisis in a neighboring jurisdicƟon. Surrounding agencies aƩempted
to locate the suspect by tracking his cell phone. Subject was located but fled from numerous agencies and
evaded apprehension. An alert was issued; suspect was ulƟmately apprehended out of county, the car was
held for forfeiture by other jurisdicƟons for charges of fleeing police, and he was returned to MHPD and
jailed for HRO/OFP violaƟon and Contempt of Court.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES — 8XX MARIE AVE 01/24/21, 1550 HOURS
Officers responded to a report of a man laying on the ground in Valley Park with a weapon. Man was
located deceased. Case is under invesƟgaƟon.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY — 19XX CROWN POINT DR 01/25/21, 1659 HOURS
Officer was dispatched to a damage to property call. The reporƟng party stated that overnight someone
aƩempted to get into his vehicle and while doing so broke his vehicle's door handle. The reporƟng party
advised that nothing was missing from his vehicle and does not believe that anyone gained entrance.
DAC/IPS — HWY 62/35E 01/25/21, 2157 HOURS
Officer ran a query search of a license plate and found the driver & registered owner’s license status was
Cancelled‐IPS. Officers stopped vehicle and learned the driver was the registered owner. The vehicle was
towed and the driver was transported to Dakota County Jail to be booked and released.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY — PILOT KNOB RD/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 01/27/21, 0304 HOURS
Officer observed suspected drug acƟvity at local hotels. Officer conducted a traffic stop on an involved
vehicle. Occupants stories did not match up and a K9 sniff was conducted. No drugs were found. All
occupants were idenƟfied and allowed to leave. Officers spoke with neighboring agencies who advised the
occupants were known drug users and catalyƟc convertor thieves. InformaƟon report only.
