City of 1Viendota Heights TO: Parks and Recreation Commissioners DATE: May 13, 1996 The Mendota Heights Athletic Association has scheduled six weekend tournaments to be played at Mendakota Pazk this summer season. Their tournament schedule has been accompanied by a request for field maintenance. The maintenance of the fields during these tournaments raises a fee issue. Please refer to section IV, item G of the City Pazks and Property Rental Fee Ordinance (attached). According to this item, fees for field preparation for Mendota Heights Athletic Association events "will be determined and negotiated on a case to case basis." MHAA has requested that all fields be dragged and chalked after each game and that the restrooms be periodically cleaned. This will require at least two public works employees to be present all day for each day of these weekend tournaments. I have attached a copy of the request. Review Mendota Heights Athletic Association Tournament request and make a recommendation for field maintenance fee. 2 Mendota Heights J May 9, 1996 Chris Esser City of Mendota Heights 1101 Victoria Curve Mendota Heights, MN 55118 Dear Chris, This letter is to confirm your conversation with Jun Lackner concerning the week -end tournaments that MHAA will be playing this summer: Tournament Dates In-house baseball June 1 .2 11 yr olds June 8 - 9 In-house baseball June 15 - 16 12 yr olds June 21 - 23 -Ball Super Sat.
