Passed Unanimously. 7. Trails -- Meierotto authorized to delineate objectives and limitations for a community trails committee to be ready for next meeting. D. Next Meeting -- October 24, 1973, 8:00 P.M. 7171 Rugust 24, 1973 Tha Park Department requests that the Village purchase a Toro 7 unit Hydraulic Parkmaster. This unit is combination 79 horsepower tractor, a hydraulic system which provides the flexibilty for the operator to raise any one of the mowers to slim down and pass through narrow areas of mow boulevards or other strips with one or two units, and a heavy duty Toro— Roughmaster gang —mowers and frame for "control mowing" of limited care areas. With the increased amount of developed park land and the extra areas to be maintained, this unit has the capability of mowing 60 acres a day and has a speed of better then 30 MPH for quick highway transportability. I believe we can cut main— tenance costs of these parks considerably. This unit, if a demo., is purchased now, will cost approximately $7,000. After Jan. 1, 1974, the prices are to go 5 t❑ 6%. I recommend that the Village purchase this unit and trade the existing 3 gang mower off because these type of mowers are designed with 6 cutting blades and for use on more formal type turf areas such as golf courses. The Village purchased this mower for $450 and I recommend we sell it for that price because we bought a 4 point hitch for it at the time of purchase which will equal the amount of depreciation. Thank you. Harvey Franzmeier
