A. Approval of l�iinutes
-- February 26, 1973 - motion passed unanimously to approve.
B. Miscellaneous Announcements
-- Stefani requested Johnson to provide budget status for
next meting.
-- Stefani reported on the cixtting around NSP power lines;
that it was subcontracted out to Northern States Tree
Service; Murphy reported that the trimming was neither
excellent nor poor, but somewhere inbetween.
-- Meierotto read letter inviting the commission to attend
meeting sponsored by the League of 'domen Voters at
Metcalf Jr. High in Burnsville at 7:30 p.m. April 24
regarding pros and cons of Metro Council.
-- Stefani reported that we are hosts for the next meeting
of the Confederated Yark Commissioners on May 16, 1973.
C. 1973 Development - Review of. Preliminary Plans
-- Rogers Lake - discussion centered on
1. parking lot - decided to leave as
2. location of bathhouse/picnic shelter - leave as is,
clean up shoreline, no sand.
3, swing set construction
4. gate - aecided not to have gate at this time.
5, security light - decided to have one at shelter and
one at parking lot/bridge.
-- Friendly Hills - discussion centered on
1. lighting of tennis courts - aeciaed to look into
paid timer lights.
2. tennis court fencing - decided to have wrapped
fencing with 3' side fences.
-- Marie Avenue - discussion centered on
1. seedlings - decided to include their transplanting
in the contract.
2, security light - decided to place it in parking lot.
-- Interstate - discussion centered on
i. pavillion - decided to move it closer to the road.
2. picnic tables - decided to remove five tables and
eliminate a few pine trees.
3. possibility of footpath access to the park if Marie
Avenue development considerably delayed.
-- Wentworth - discussion centered on
1. parking and road - decided to have road loop with
parallel parking and a single 4 car jut for parking
by free skating area.
2. tennis courts to be lighted.
-- The suggestion was made that ramps be used in place
of steps in all construction.
D. Recreation
-- Joiznson suggested that P. Quist would be able to work
on recreation.
-- Lundeen reported that he had some proposals but needed
more information in order to complete them. It was
decided that Stefani, Johnson and Lundeen would get
together during the week of April 16 - 20 to further
discuss subject.
