PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
MINUTES
September 25, 1979
Present: Mills, Finn, MCMonigal, Williams, Lundeen, Murphy.
Absent: Gustafson.
Lexington -Marie Pond: Mr. Dean Fagan represented his immediate neighbors to discuss
the pond on Lexington Avenue and Marie Avenue. Mills met with Mr. Fagan and three
adjoining neighbors earlier this month to better understand the current problem,
namely the pond is two feet too high and is saturating private property and drowning
trees.

Lake Park
Improvement:
Two contracts were presented
to park board
for approval and
signature.
A. Abbreviated Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect for Construction
Projects of Limited Scope.
B. Professional Service Order.
Discussion made not to sign either contract but to go in original direction and
obtain Tuchie for improvement plans for Rogers Lake Park. Tuchie offers pro-
fessional help with bond issues. We prefer at this time, not to contract in
vast scope but to contract for $2,400 with Rogers Lake Park as priority.
Motion made by Finn to recommend to Council to contract with Tuchie for $2,400 for
plans to improve Rogers Lake Park.

Park Acquisition and Development: Discussion made of possible bond issue. Sug-
gestion made that two Park Commission members and two City Council members to
lay ground work as Comprehensive Plan recommends.
Wentworth Park Garages: Motion made by Lundeen to demolish the garages and carry
away.
