1. Minutes of the July 28, 1976 meeting approved.
2. Friendly Hills pedway is complete except for barricades at either end to
keep the cars out. We are still working with the Highway Department on
the Rogers Lake pedway from Curley Addition.
3. Wentworth ballfield will have a grass infield rather than crushed rock.
Lundeen will we with Literski on the best placement of the backstop.
4. Basketball - Letters were received requesting basketball courts at Ivy
Falls Park. The Commission will await results of the survey and then
set priorities accordingly.
5. Park ane3 creation Survey will be presented to the Council at their
September 7 meeting. The survey has been prepared as a joint effort
between +ha District 197 Community Education services and Mendota
Heights. Fork and Recreation Commission.
6. The 1976 Park -A -Rama came out in the black. (Financial statement
is attached.)
7. The
Community Education Advisory Council
requested
representation on
the
council from the Park and Recreation
Commission.

8. The 1977 Budget - The City's proposed budget and Park Commission requests
were reviewed. It was decided that the Recreation Program should have
more money to hire more recreational personnel...
Capital improvements - the park. bond fund was $9,934 in the red upon the
completion of the tennis courts. That money was subtracted from the
$45,600 in the Park Development Fund leaving a balance of $36,666. The
City Attorney says that this money can be used for improvements which
we will consider after the survey results are in.
