1. Approval of Minutes
--Minutes of August 27 meeting approved as amended.
2. Archery
--Franzmeier explained that to develop the archery range would
cost approximately 5 days labor to grade, fill and reseed, plus
about $150 in materials. There was also a question of erosion
due to grading.
--Lundeen will check with John Larson to clarify where cost comes
from, and what extent Larson wants it developed.
Motion
Finn moved, and Lundeen seconded, that due to a change of
personnel in maintenance, the archery range be delayed until Spring
3. Tennis Courts
--Plans for Rogers Lake and McGough site were reviewed.
--Motion: Murphy moved, Witt seconded, that the Board recommend to
the Council to proceed with plans for Rogers Lake and McGough
property tennis courts.
--Discussion of the rules concerning play times at tennis courts.
4. Trails
--Discussion related to the future of park development and acquisition
and the Board expressed the need of a 5-10 year plan to see what the
future of trails would be.
--Concerning the ski trails, Johnson explained that the Rauenhorst
easement failed. Mills will contact Lionel Greenburg of the Ski
Club about a new area to develop trails.
5. Winter Recreation
Selander sent a report that the program will run the same as last year,
and he is starting to hire part-time help.
