1. Minutes of June 25, 1975 approved as amended.
2. Archery
-- An area suitable for an archery range was found north of
Apache Road and near Highway 49 right-of-way. John Larson
explained that the Jaycees would provide manpower for clearing
the area.
-- The Board recommended that the Council approve up to $300
for materials and city -park labor on condition that volunteer
labor also be used.
-- Board also asked that upon completion of range, Larson come
back with a list of rules and maintenance plans.
3. Recreation Program
ar Summer
-- Discussion of algae in Rogers Lake.
-- Next year eliminate two people per playground and instead
alternate.
-- Start soccer program for boys and girls age 8 and over.
-- Increase women's softball from four to six teams.
-- Swimming lessons next year.
-- Suggestion of an all-star team for 8-year olds was discussed.
Recommended that instead, all 8-year olds have a special
training session.
b. Fall
-- Harvey to check with Mend -Eagan concerning lines for
football fields.
c. Winter
-- Post notices on outside of warming houses concerning
snow removal.
-- Suggested a better job of flooding rinks.
4. Tennis Courts
-- Rogers Lake and Ivy falls courts pending until further
developments on MCGough property.
5. Park -A -Rama
-- Witt and Kettunen turned in their final report on Park -A -Rama.
-- Some discussion on incorporating.
6. Trails
-- Delayed until next meeting.
7. Budget
-- Board reviewed some priorities and various programs.
-- Rogers Lake expansion and algae control was discussed.
