Through LAWCON, state funds might 6e available; however,
LAWCON is almost solely acquisition for property
associated with lake shores.
We will make a last ditch effort by contacting Garland
Davis. Also, we will continue to study obtaining funds
from LAWCON by further discussion with Tom Clawson.
In the meantime, a report, written by Starr, will be
submitted to the Council, with a cover letter from the
Park Commission. This letter will, in brief, state
the Park Commission general feelings and future intentions.
Accordingly, a motion was made by Ridder and seconded
by Losleben.

0. Johnson reports little action should be taken
until the truck and tractor are delivered and
accepted.
IX. Land Options
0. Johnson reports that a recently written report
from Parranto has been received but not available
for the meeting.
Stefani reported that Will Wachtler has requested
that the Commission re—evaluate its need for the
entire 12 acres just east of Interstate. Some
negotiating has been done by a sub —committee of
Stefani, Meierotto, Starr and Johnson.

X. Warming House damage
Over the 4th of July weekend, an estimated $250
in vandalism occurred at North Park. Stefanhas
contacted Brogmus of the Sun Newspapers for
enough press coverage to impress the local
residents that continued vandalism will result
in removal of the warming house.
XI. Friends Hills Warming House
The need will exist and it is unlikely the trailer
will be available. 0. Johnson will investigate
the possibility of acquisition of a temporary
shelter inasmuch as it is now too late to plan
and construct a permanent structure.
XII. The next scheduled meeting is Monday, August 28, 1972,
Village Hall, 7:30 P.M.
