1989-01-16 Parks and Rec Comm Agenda PacketCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS CITIZENS PARKS REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE BALLFIELDS SUBCOMMITTEE MINUTES JANUARY 16, 1989 The first meeting of the Ballfield Subcommittee of the Citizens Park Review Committee was held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16 in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Members present included: Kluznik, Stenhaug, Kilburg, Witt, Mastel, Amodick, Blesener, Losleben. CHAIR SELECTION The subcommittee chose Chuck Mastel as chair and Jeff Stenhaug as vice - chair NEEDS The committee listed the number of existing teams for each community athletic program, and the number of potential teams (shown in parentheses)if adequate facilities were available. The list was as follows: NEEDS T-ball (boys and girls) 22 Youth girls softball 30 Family fast pitch - girls 4 (6) Coaches pitch baseball 12 (14) Youth in-house baseball 17 (20) Family baseball ((boys) 4 (6) VFU 5/6 year olds 1 (2) American Legion 17/18 1 Men's softball, slowpitch 10 (20) Women's softball, slowpitch 0 (8) Men's softball, fastpitch 0 (8) Women's softball, fastpitch 0 (8) Mixed kittenball 0 (8) Over 30 league 0 (8) Over 40 league 0 (8) Soccer Grade K-1 8 (12) 2-3 8 (12) 415,6 6 (12) 71819 6 (12) Football Grade 4,5,6 4 Field Hockey 2 (4) FIELD DIMENSIONS The Committee listed the dimensions needed for a regulation size field for each type of athletic activity.
