RESOLUTION CITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION Whereas, the Parks and Recreation Commission has completed a major study of recreation facilities needs in the community; and Whereas, the study revealed as highest needs a bicycle/pedestrian trail system, a community athletic complex, and various neighborhood park improvements; and Whereas, it has been determined that the approximate cost to acquire land and complete development for such improvements is approximately $1,860,000; and Whereas, securing such level of funding will require going to the voters of the community with a referendum authorizing issuance of general debt obligations. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mendota Heights Parks and Recreation Commission, that the Commission hereby requests that the Mendota Heights City Council call for a referendum to be held on Tuesday, April 21st, 1987, for the purpose of submitting to the voters the question of whether the City should issue up to $1,860,000 of general obligation bonds for the purpose of carrying out the described parks acquisition and development program. Adopted by the Parks and Recreation Commission of the City of Mendota Heights this loth day of February, 1987.
