SUSPECTED DUI —2XXX DODD RD 06/12/20, 1214 HOURS
Officers were dispatched to a vehicle accident with no injuries. On scene it was determined that one driver
was likely under the influence of narcotics. The suspect was taken into custody and a search warrant was
completed for a sample of his blood. The suspect was released pending the results of the search warrant.
FRAUD—6XX HIDDEN CREEK TRAIL 06/12/20, 1225 HOURS
A resident reported receiving a letter from the state unemployment office advising that someone tried to
fraudulently obtain unemployment benefits. Report filed.
4TH DEG DWI—1XXX VICTORIA RD S 06/13/20, 0246 HOURS
Officer conducted a traffic stop, observed signs of impairment coming from the driver and conducted a field
sobriety test. The driver was determined to be over the legal limit and placed under arrest. Driver was
issued a citation for 4th Degree DWI and booked and released from the Dakota County Jail.
THEFT FROM AUTO—2XXX MENDAKOTA DR 06/12/20, 1500 HOURS
Officers took a report of items that had been stolen from inside a vehicle. Complainant reported that
sometime on the prior day, their items were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in a parking lot.
TAX EVASION/DAR—1XXX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 06/13/20, 2313 HOURS
Officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the lot of a closed park. Officer made contact with a male in the
driver’s seat of the vehicle. The male was placed under arrest for tax evasion and driving after revocation.
The male was booked into Dakota County Jail. Forwarded to city attorney for charging.
4TH DEG DWI—1XXX DAKOTA DR 06/14/20, 0543 HOURS
Officer stopped out with a vehicle parked in the rear lot of a closed bank. While speaking with the driver,
the officer observed signs of impairment. Officer conducted a standardized field sobriety test, which deter-
mined the driver was over the legal limit and was placed under arrest. Driver was cited for 4th Degree DWI.
THEFT FROM AUTO—2XXX DODD RD 06/14/20, 1200 HOURS
Responded to take a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle. The victim reported their credit card had
been used at a store in a nearby city. Video and pictures of the person using the victim's credit card were
obtained. Report filed.
TREE THEFT—9XX CHIPPEWA AVE 06/14/20, 0951 HOURS
Responded to take a report of a newly planted weeping pine tree that was stolen from the front yard ’s
landscaping overnight. There are no suspects or evidence. Case is inactive.
FOUND PROPERTY—1XXX VICTORIA CURVE 06/15/20, 1500 HOURS
A small medical/suture kit was turned in to City Hall There is no identifying information and the location
found is unknown. Property held for safekeeping.

DOG BITE –2XXX LEXINGTON AVE 06/16/20, 0844 HOURS
Dispatched to take report of a dog bite. Both dogs lived in the same area. No injuries reported to either
dog. After review of ordinance, no violations occurred.
ROBBERY—1XXX BROMPTON PL 06/16/20, 1600 HOURS
Officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery at gunpoint. The suspects were not located. Investigation
ongoing.
CRISIS/MENTAL HEALTH—14XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 06/16/20, 1743 HOURS
Officers dispatched to a disturbance at 1400 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. The reporting party stated that
a male was outside shouting and scaring people. Officers checked the area located the individual who
appeared to be in crisis. Officers detained him and he was transported to the hospital.
CHECK WELFARE/FLEEING—LEXINGTON AVE/HWY 62 06/17/20, 0001 HOURS
Officers dispatched to a report of a slumper and upon arrival and found the vehicle stalled, blocking
southbound Lexington Ave. Officers attempted to wake up the adult male and when he awoke, driver
rammed a squad car and continued westbound Highway 62 from Lexington Ave. Officers attempted to stop
the vehicle but the vehicle continued to flee at a high rate of speed. Suspect vehicle last seen westbound
Highway 62 from 34th Ave. The adult male suspect is not identified; report made.
FOUND PROPERTY—ST PAUL 06/17/20, 1851 HOURS
Officer dispatched to take found property from a party at the Mendota Heights Police Department. The
reporting party stated that he found a wallet in St. Paul. Officer contacted the owner of the wallet and the
owner advised that he will pick up the wallet.
PROPERTY DAMAGE—2XXX LEXINGTON AVE 06/17/20, 2138 HOURS
Officer was dispatched to take a report of damaged property. Officer spoke with victim who stated while
his vehicle was parked on Lexington Avenue he discovered the windshield had been damaged. There is no
suspect information at this time.
SPEED/DRIVER EVAL—HWY 62/DELAWARE AVE 06/17/20, 2204 HOURS
Officer stopped a speeding vehicle where the elderly driver seemed disoriented. Driver was allowed to
clear the stop and left at excessive speeds in the wrong direction. Driver was stopped again and escorted
home. Driver evaluation was submitted to DVS. Case status closed with report.
EXPIRE TABS/WARRANT — HWY 62/LEXINGTON AV 06/17/20, 2240 HOURS
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and the tabs didn't match the state ’s registration data.
Officers determined that the previous owner took the tabs off of the vehicle he also owned and put them
on this vehicle to sell. Officers removed the tabs and advised the driver on a misdemeanor warrant out of
Washington County. Driver was released.

THEFT OF TRAILER –1XXX SYLVANDALE RD 06/18/20, 0831 HOURS
A report was taken for a trailer that was stolen on the 1000 block of Sylvandale Road. The trailer had its
locks cut and was stolen sometime overnight. The trailer was entered into NCIC as stolen.
DWI –16XX DODD RD 06/18/20, 1817 HOURS
Officers responded to a drunkenness call on the 1600 block of Dodd Road. Resident had fallen and was
unable to get back up. Officers learned the suspect had driven himself home from a bar. Due to his
extreme level of intoxication and potential injuries, he was transported by ambulance to the hospital. A
warrant was obtained for a legal blood draw. Charges pending blood test results.
FRAUD –21XX THERESA ST 06/18/20, 2148 HOURS
Resident contacted the Police Department regarding a fraudulent unemployment benefit application that
was made in their name. Officer spoke with the victim and determined the appropriate state officials were
already notified by the victim and they have opened their own investigation into the matter. At this time
the victim suffered no loss.
