03 06 20 JTF 1 DWI — 35E SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 03/02/20, 0009 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 35E and Sibley Memorial Highway. Driver was put through SFSTs and it was determined they were over the legal limit. Driver was arrested but refused to submit to a chemical test. Driver transported to Dakota Jail for book and release. THEFT — 18XX FARO LN 03/02/20, 1100 HOURS Resident in the 1800 block of Faro Ln reported items stolen from a car parked in the driveway sometime between midnight and 6:00am. Value of items is under $500. No suspects. THEFT — 18XX FARO LN 03/02/20, 1158 HOURS Officer dispatched to a theft from vehicle report at the 1800 block of Faro Lane. Adult male reporting party advised that both of his vehicles were gone through in his driveway. Both vehicles were left unlocked. FRAUD — 14XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 03/02/20, 1539 HOURS Business on the 1400 Block of Mendota Heights Road observed check fraud in their records. Report was taken. Case status is pending further investigation. WEAPON — 18XX DELAWARE AVE 03/03/20, 0945 HOURS Responded to the 1800 block of Delaware Avenue to investigate a report of an after -the-fact weapon violation that happened on 02-28-2020. Case is under investigation. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY — 18XX DELAWARE AVE 03/03/20, 1129 HOURS Responded to the 1800 block of Delaware Avenue and received a report of a vulnerable adult who may have been sexually assaulted within the past several months. Information to be forwarded to Eagan PD for investigation as the victim lives in their jurisdiction. DRUGS — 18XX DELAWARE AVE 03/03/20, 1200 HOURS Responded to the 1800 block of Delaware Avenue on a report of suspected drug activity involving a juvenile. Evidence was collected to be drug tested. Juvenile released to their parent. Charges pending results of drug testing. HRO VIOLATION — 7XX MOHICAN LN 03/03/20, 1654 HOURS Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Mohican Lane on a report of a Harassment Restraining Order violation. Case forwarded to city attorney for charging review. MENTAL HEALTH — 13XX NORTHLAND DR 03/03/20, 1954 HOURS Officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic in progress. It was later determined that the male party was having a mental health crisis and was transported to the hospital for a hold. 02.28.20—3.05.20 2 DRUGS — 13XX NORTHLAND DR 02/28/20, 0159 HOURS Officers stopped out with a suspicious vehicle parked at a business on the 1300 block of Northland Drive. While speaking with the two occupants, officers observed an open bottle of liquor inside the vehicle and the odor of what was believed to be marijuana. Officers conducted a vehicle search and located more narcotics. The driver admitted to knowing about the narcotics. Both occupants were released on scene. Charges to the driver are pending. WARRANT ARREST — DODD RD/EMERSON AVE 02/28/20, 0824 HOURS Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding near the intersection of Dodd Road and Emerson Avenue. The driver was found to have an active warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and taken to the Dakota County Jail. RECOVERED PROPERTY — 6XX HWY 62 02/28/20, 1637 HOURS Officers were dispatched to an abandoned vehicle on the 600 block of Hwy 62. Upon arriving, no one was around and the vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Minneapolis. Vehicle was towed. DWI — HWY 62/DELAWARE AVE 02/29/20, 0220 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop for a speed violation on Highway 62 at Delaware Avenue. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment. Officer conducted a field sobriety test and the driver was determined to be over the legal limit. The driver was booked and released with a citation for DWI. The vehicle was released to a sober driver. DOMESTIC — 3XX E ST 02/29/20, 1626 HOURS Officers dispatched to a disturbance at the 300 block of E St. The reporting party stated that her daughter was threatening her and stated that she was going to "kill" her. Officers arrived on scene and separated the two parties. After speaking with both parties, officer decided to arrest the daughter. DWI — 1XXX DAKOTA DR 02/29/20, 1840 HOURS Officer stopped out with a disabled vehicle in the 1000 block of Dakota Drive. The adult male driver was found to be in violation of a protective order and intoxicated. The driver was placed under arrest for these offenses. THEFT — 6XX 1ST AVE 03/01/20, 0041 HOURS Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 1st Avenue on a report of theft. Male was at a party after the high school dance and his shoes were stolen. No suspects at this time. MOTOR VEHICLE TAMPERING — 19XX GLENHILL RD 03/01/20, 1502 HOURS Officer responded to the 1900 block of Glenhill Road on a report of motor vehicle tampering that had occurred overnight. No suspects at this time. 3 ASSIST OTHER AGENCY — 2XXX ROBERT STREET S 03/04/20, 0231 HOURS Officer was at Cub Foods in WSP and was flagged down by Loss Prevention about a theft in progress. Officer detained shoplifter until WSP Officer arrived. IDENTITY THEFT — 15XX DODD RD 03/04/20, 1024 HOURS Reporting party received an email alerting her that she has received her new code for her credit card and the card is on the way. Reporting party did not initiate this process, so she called the credit card company. Reporting party was provided an address where the new card was going to be shipped. Reporting party received a new card and number. Case forwarded to Investigations. THREATS — 7XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 03/04/20, 2215 HOURS Officers responded to a phone call request for possible threats at a school on the 700 block of Mendota Heights Rd. Threats of violence were made against the school by a student. Student was identified and police talked with them. No credible threat was found but student will be remaining out of school. DAS — DODD RD/1ST AVE 03/05/20, 0444 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop for a speed violation on the 1100 block of Dodd Road. Officer discovered the driver’s license was showing suspended for prior unpaid traffic citations. Due to driver’s history of not responding to citations and unchanged behavior, the driver was arrested for Driving After Suspension. Driver was booked and released from the Dakota County Jail and the vehicle was impounded. BURGLARY — 23XX LEXINGTON AVE 03/05/20, 1603 HOURS A resident in the 2300 block of Lexington Ave reported a burglary while he was working. Jewelry was taken from his apartment while at work. Case under investigation.
