RESOLUTION 2019 - 99
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2020 PAY CLASSIFICATION PLAN
FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a grade and step pay system for non-union
employees; and
WHEREAS, based upon recommendations of the City Administrator, the City Council
has determined the appropriate placement of each position in a grade and the incumbent
employee in a step; and
WHEREAS, it is also necessary to set salaries for part-time employees.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the following 2020 compensation items
are approved as of January 1, 2020:
1. The 2020 Employee Position Placement/Pay Classification Plan for non-union
employees.
2. The following salaries shall be implemented for part-time employees:
Fire Chief
Assistant Fire Chief
Fire Marshal
$19,794*
$11,601*
$33.28an hour
*Annual compensation for administrative and other department responsibilities
excluding fire calls.
3. The following stipends are implemented for:
Captains $1,865/annually
Training Officer $4,096/annually
Assistant Training Officer $1,638/annually
4. The following hourly rates of pay for volunteer firefighters for fire calls and
training:
0-1 Years $10.30
FF I, First Responder, Hazmat Operational $13.67
FF II, First Responder, Hazmat Operational $15.70
