After investigation, the driver was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for DWI. The passenger refused to exit the vehicle, and was arrested for obstruction of legal process and assaulting a peace officer. DOMESTIC ASSAULT—1XXX NORTHLAND DR 06/14/19, 1257 HOURS Officers responded to the 1000 block of Northland Drive on the report of a possible assault taking place. After an extensive investigation one party was arrested and transported to the Dakota County Jail on Domestic Assault charges. HARASSMENT—17XX LEXINGTON AVE 06/05/19, 1205 HOURS Responded to a report of harassment in the 1700 block of Lexington Avenue. The reporting person wanted to make a report for information purposes only at this time. No charges filed. DRUGS/DWI—8XX MARIE AVE 06/14/19, 1934 HOURS Officers responded to the intersection of Dodd and HWY 62 for a driving complaint of a vehicle swerving while driving. Upon arrival in the area the vehicle was parked on the 800 block of Marie Ave. Officer conducted a field contact with the driver. During the interview the driver swallowed a baggie of suspected narcotics. The driver was transported to the hospital to be evaluated. DWI/ACCIDENT—VICTORIA RD/DIANE RD 06/15/19, 0040 HOURS Officers responded to a two vehicle accident near Victoria Rd and Diane Rd. Upon speaking with drivers, it was determined that one was intoxicated and arrested for DWI. Party was brought back to the Mendota Heights Police Department, when he began showing signs of possible injury from the crash. He was transported to Regions Hospital. A search warrant for his blood was signed and executed at the hospital. Case pending blood test results. CHECK WELFARE—7XX HWY 62 06/15/19, 1445 HOURS Responded to the 700 block of Highway 62 on a report of a confused motorist. Subsequent investigation led to transporting the person home to Bloomington and the vehicle was left on the scene. The person's Power of Attorney was contacted and information will be referred to Hennepin County Social Services for follow-up. DWI—HWY 13/35E 06/16/19, 0059 HOURS While on routine patrol officer observed a vehicle driving above the posted speed limit confirmed by radar. Made traffic stop, driver showed signs of impairment. Failed FST's and PBT. Driver arrested for DWI. Transported to the Mendota Heights Police Department where he submitted to a breath test. Transported to the Dakota County Jail where he was booked and released for 4th Degree DWI. DOMESTIC ASSAULT—24XX WINTHROP CT 06/16/1540 HOURS Officers responded to the 2400 block of Winthrop Court on the report of a Domestic situation taking place. After officers investigated the incident a juvenile was placed under arrest and transported to the Dakota County Juvenile Detention Center. 3 ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM AUTO — 2XXX HAVERTON RD 06/16/19, 0144 HOURS Officers responded to reports of a vehicle that was just broken into. Officers checked the area and determined that nothing was taken from the vehicle and the reporting party had interrupted the males breaking in. Officers checked the area but did not find the suspects or the vehicle. THEFT/DRUGS—9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 06/16/19, 1803 HOURS Squads dispatched to the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy on a theft of candy bars. Suspect was located and would not identity herself. Once at DC Jail, suspect was identified and a small baggie of suspected narcotics was found on her person. Booked DC Jail for 5th degree drugs and theft. DOMESTIC ASSAULT—9XX CHIPPEWA AVE 06/17/19, 0210 HOURS Officers responded to the 900 block of Chippewa Ave on reports of a female beating at the window wanting her stuff back. Upon arrival officers determined that a male at the residence had assaulted the woman and they were in a domestic relationship. The male was arrested for domestic assault and transported to jail. MAIL THEFT—WINSTON CIRCLE 06/17/19, 0845 HOURS Resident reported seven outgoing checks stolen from their mailbox. Checks were placed in the box and flag raised at 0845 and at about 1000 the door was open and the checks were gone. Stop payment placed on checks. Case pending investigative follow up. THEFT — 7XX EVERGREEN KNOLL 06/17/19 1108 HOURS Officers received a report in reference to a past action theft report. A resident of the 700 block of Evergreen Knolls realized that her purse and an iPad were missing from her home. The iPad's tracker showed that it was in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. The case is under investigation by officers. THEFT — 21XX DODD ROAD 06/17/19, 1654 HOURS A woman called to report that her car had been broken into while parked near the 2100 block of Dodd Road. Her debit cards were stolen and used at various locations. The investigation is ongoing. FOUND PROPERTY — 25XX CONCORD WAY 06/17/19, 2107 HOURS Officer was dispatched to the 2500 block of Concord Way for a set of keys that were found in the street. The keys were logged into the evidence room for safe keeping. AOA — 35E NORTH 06/18/19, 0045 HOURS Officers assisted Eagan Police with a felony stop after a vehicle they were pursuing crashed on Interstate 35E near Shepard Road. Adult male taken into custody. THEFT — 24XX PILOT KNOB ROAD 06/18/19. 2023 HOURS Officer was dispatched to the 2400 block of Pilot Knob Road for a theft report. A cell phone was stolen off a work desk. 4th DEG DWI — HWY 62 06/18/19, 2218 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 62 and Dodd Road. After investigation, it was found that the adult male driver was intoxicated, and he was placed under arrest for DWI. The male was transported to the Dakota County Jail to be booked and released. 4 5th DEG DRUGS — 10XX WINSTON CIRCLE 06/19/19, 1132 HOURS Officers responded to the 1000 block of Winston Circle to assist another police agency in locating a suspect involved in a Felony level Restraining Order Violation. A search of the suspect, incident to arrest, produced a vape pen with suspected THC Oil, a small amount of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released to the other agency on their charges. The case is pending the results of the drug testing from the Dakota County Drug Task Force. DWI — LEXINGTON AVE 06/20/19, 0404 HOURS Officers observed a vehicle traveling well above the speed limit on Interstate 35E N traveling under Wagon Wheel Tr. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver switched seats with a passenger in the vehicle in an attempt to confuse the officer. Officers were able to easily determine who was driving be- cause they observed the change. Officers determined that the true driver showed signs of intoxication and determined that he was impaired. Officers arrested the original driver for DWI. A sober passenger drove the vehicle home. TAMPER WITH MOTOR VEHICLE — 22XX OCALA COURT 06/20/19, 2359 HOURS Responded to the 2200 block of Ocala Ct on a report of a car that had been entered overnight, a garage door remote was taken but later found in a neighbor's yard. Garage was empty due to remodeling and the door to the house was locked. No suspects or evidence.
