Res 2019- 37 Accept Feasibility Report, Public Hearing Town Center-Village Boulder Retaining WallCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2019-37 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE TOWN CENTER/VILLAGE OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS BOULDER RETAINING WALL IMPROVEMENTS (PROJECT #201810) WHEREAS, pursuant to a professional services contract issued on February 5, 2019, City Council ordered a feasibility report to be prepared by the Public Works Director with reference to the improvement of boulder retaining walls on Outlot E of the Town Center/Village of Mendota Heights development; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has submitted a report to the City Council with respect to the Town Center/Village of Mendota Heights Boulder Retaining Wall improvements which include: replace of the existing retaining walls, and appurtenant work; and WHEREAS, in said report the Public Works Director reported that the proposed improvements and construction thereof are desirable and necessary, technically and economically feasible, cost effective, and further reported on the estimated cost of the proposed improvements; and NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Mendota Heights City Council as follows: 1. The City Council hereby accepts the Feasibility Report as submitted. 2. The Council will consider the improvement of such retaining walls and areas in accordance with the report and the assessment of property as described in the report for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvements of $456,053. 3. A Public Hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the 16th day of July, 2019 at City Hall, 1101 Victoria Curve, City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. Statutory notice and publication requirements shall be followed.
