Henry Sibley High School—Facilities Design Open House A community Facilities Design Open House is being hosted by District 197 on Thursday, September 20, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Henry Sibley High School in Warrior Hall (third floor). Dodd Road Tentative Road Closure Sept. 19 MN DOT is planning on a tentative closure of Dodd Road, between Highway 62 and 494, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19. Mendota Heights Par 3 Closed for Maintenance 9/17-9/18 (until 1:30 p.m.) The Mendota Heights Par 3 Golf Course will be closed beginning Monday, September 17 for routine greens aeration and fall maintenance. It will reopen at 1:30 p.m. on September 18 depending on weather conditions. 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update The Comprehensive Plan is an official and formal document adopted by the City every 10 years, and contains the City's goals and policies as they relate to land use, housing, parks and open space, transportation, utilities, and other issues. The Comprehensive Plan provides a general future plan or guide for the community from 2020 to 2040. The 2040 Comprehensive Plan update is now underway. Voter Registration If you are not already registered to vote, you may preregister up until 5:00 pm on October 16, 2018. After that date, you must register at the polls. Voter registration can be completed at www.MNVotes.org. You can also print out a paper form or obtain a paper form from City Hall. You will need to register if you have never voted before, if you have changed your name or address since you last voted (including moving to another apartment in the same building), or if you have not voted in the past four years. Minnesota does allow voters to register on Election Day at the polls with the required identification. If you are unsure if you are registered to vote, you can go to MNVotes.org. Gathered information and report written; incident closed. 5th DEG DRUG POSSESSION— 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 09/07/2018, 2149 HOURS Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway for two suspicious people. The female party admitted to Officers that she had drug paraphernalia in her purse. Both individuals were transported out of the city. Forward to DTF for formal charging. 911 INTERFERENCE-7XX PONTIAC PLACE 09/08/2018, 0723 HOURS Officers responded to the 700 block of Pontiac Place on a call of a disturbance. After investigating, one of the involved individuals had interfered with an emergency call. Case forwarded to Mendota Heights City Attorney for review. THEFT FROM MV-13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 09/08/2018, 0835 HOURS Officer took a report of theft that occurred near the 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. The vehicle had the rear window broken, and items were taken from the inside. No suspects known. Websites checked for stolen items. Items later recovered and returned to homeowner. Case inactive. THEFT FROM MV-13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 09/08/2018, 0835 HOURS Officer took a theft report from the 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. A vehicles window was broken and items were stolen from inside. No suspects known. For sale data bases checked. Case inactive. FOUND PROPERTY—OAK ST/MARKET ST 09/08/2018, 2106 HOURS Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Oak and Main for a report of a found doll. The doll was secured in the Mendota Heights evidence room for safe keeping. 2ND DEG DWI-1494/PILOT KNOB 09/09/2018, 0324 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a driving complaint with a follower. Officer was behind the vehicle and observed the vehicle drive in between lanes and weave in its lane. Driver admitted to consuming alcohol. Driver was arrested for DWI. The driver was transported to the Dakota County Jail. Forward to City Attorney for formal charges of Second Degree DWI. 4TH DEG DWI—DODD RD/HWY 62 09/09/2018, 1822 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was stopped at green light and then once the vehicle continued driving it swerved over the shoulder fog line. Officer could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage coming form the inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to alcohol consumption before driving. Officer conducted a field sobriety test and the driver blew a PBT of .089. The driver was arrested and booked into the Dakota County Jail for 4th Degree DWI. The vehicle was left legally parked on the side of the road. FOUND BICYCLE -2000 DODD RD 09/09/2018, 2058 HOURS Officer was dispatched to Mendakota Park on a report of an abandoned bicycle along the walking path. Officer located the bicycle and entered it into secure storage. ACCIDENT -2400 LEMAY SHORES DR 09/10/2018, 1012 HOURS Officers responded to the 2400 block of Lemay Shores Dr on the report of a past action accident. Officers responded to the building to find a door that had been broken and garbage that had been spread inside. Officers documented the damage and nothing was found to be missing. 5TH DEG DRUGS-9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 09/11/2018, 0243 HOURS Dispatched to a welfare check at the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. The reporting party stated that a male was slumped over and had been there for a couple of hours. Officers saw syringe in vehicle. Officers arrested male. Male transported to Dakota County Jail. Report written. FRAUD-1XXX CENTRE POINTE CURVE 09/11/2018, 1349 HOURS Officer returned call to business located in 1200 block of Centre Pointe Curve regarding possible credit card fraud. Possible suspect information obtained, no financial loss found. Investigation pending. FOUND PROPERTY-1XXX WAGON WHEEL TRAIL 09/11/2018, 1824 HOURS Dispatched to a found property call at the 1000 block of Wagon Wheel. The reporting party found a wallet. Gathered information and report written. CAR VS BIKE ACCIDENT-13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 09/11/2018, 1857 HOURS Dispatched to a vehicle versus bicycle accident at the 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. Vehicle pulled out and bicycles made contact with vehicle. Gathered information and report written. State Accident Report completed. WARRANT STOP-8XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 09/13/2018, 0613 HOURS Responded to a mutual aid request from Dakota County Sheriff to make a felony warrant stop on a vehicle being followed by investigators from the MN Attorney General's Office. Stop was made in the 800 block of Hwy 13, subject taken in to custody. DCSO transported to jail. Vehicle was inventoried and towed by MHPD. ACCIDENT-12XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 09/06/2018, 2239 HOURS Officer responded to a two vehicle accident that took place near the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road. No injuries reported. Damage done primarily to one vehicle. One driver given citation for his license status. State crash report created due to damage amount. THEFT-1XXX LONDON RD 09/13/2018, 1042 HOURS Officer took a report of mail theft from the 1000 block of London Road. The parties mail was found near Aspen way and returned. None of the mail was opened and they did not know if any was missing. No suspects known. Case inactive. THEFT-12XX NORTHLAND DR 09/06/2018, 1437 HOURS Received a phone call reporting the theft of a wallet from an office sometime overnight on Monday 09-10-18 in the 1200 block of Northland Dr. The owner thought the wallet was misplaced and reported the checkbook as missing to the bank on Tuesday. Owner notified of an arrest made by St. Paul PD on Wednesday.
