HAVE A SAFE WEEK!
Falls from windows
are more common than
people might think. In
2015, Safe Kids Worldwide
reported about 8 children
under the age of 5 die each
year from falling out of a
window and more than
3,000 are injured enough
for a hospital visit.
Always supervise children
and keep their play area
away from windows.
Keep windows closed and
locked when children are
present.
If windows are open,
make sure children can-
not reach them.
Screens keep bugs out but
do not keep children in.
Keep furniture away from
windows as they could
climb and possibly fall.
Consider installing ASTM-
approved limited opening
hardware which allows
windows to open just a
few inches.
