PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT — Emerson Ave/Delaware Ave 03/09/2018, 1419 HOURS
Officers were dispatched to a two‐vehicle property damage accident involving two drivers that
were fighƟng. WSP squads arrived on scene first to collect informaƟon. Both vehicles had
moderate damage and there were no injuries.
DISTURBING THE PEACE — 8XX Hwy 13 03/09/2018, 2309 HOURS
Officer noƟced a group of people arguing in the parking lot of a business. AŌer geƫng more
informaƟon, the parƟes were separated and allowed to leave.
CARELESS DRIVING/FAIL TO YIELD — Hwy 13/I‐35E 03/10/2018, 0154 HOURS
While on rouƟne patrol, officer noƟced a vehicle fail to yield at a four way intersecƟon. A traffic
stop was conducted. Driver showed signs of impairment, failed SFT’s and PBT and was placed
under arrest for DWI. The vehicle was towed and the driver was transported to MHPD. The driver
was read the Implied Consent and agreed to a second breath test which was tested below the legal
limit. The driver was cited for Careless Driving and Failure to Yield and was transported to a hotel.
FRAUD — 1XXX Eagle Ridge Dr. 03/12/2018, 1557 HOURS
A resident came into the PD lobby to report fraud. Someone had forged a check for $2,300 made
out to themselves. A search was made for the name on the check and the locaƟon that the check
was deposited was also discovered. Case under invesƟgaƟon.
THEFT — 5XX High Ridge 03/12/2018, 1947 HOURS
Officer responded to a residence on a report of a theŌ. The homeowner stated that he had several
packages delivered to his house that were stolen. His doorbell surveillance camera was triggered
when a Coburn’s Delivers driver rang it, listened by the door then leaned over near the packages.
The home was not expecƟng a Coburn’s delivery. Under invesƟgaƟon.
THEFT — 1XXX Mendota Heights Rd. 03/12/2018, 2117 HOURS
Officer responded to a local gas staƟon on a theŌ report. Employee stated that an adult male
pumped $56.68 worth of fuel and then came into the gas staƟon, took motor oil, sea foam, Red
Bull and Black & Mild cigars. The male then told the employee to go ahead and call the police
because he was going to jail anyway and that it was his right to steal the items. He then leŌ.
Vehicle and suspect descripƟon were gathered. Under invesƟgaƟon.
TOBACCO VIOLATION — 1XXX Delaware Ave 03/13/2018, 1014 HOURS
School Resource Officer was noƟfied of a juvenile male who was in possession of tobacco and a
tobacco electronic delivery device. The juvenile was issued a citaƟon for Use of Tobacco.
HARASSING COMMUNICATION — 7XX Mohican Ln. 03/14/2018, 1824 HOURS
ReporƟng party states that harassing messages via Facebook were sent to her and her family
saying “karma is coming,” from the mother of her step‐daughter. This is not the first instance
MHPD officers have had with the parƟes. Sent for formal charging.

MHPD has a Medication Disposal Box in the lobby of the
PD where Dakota County residents can safely and
anonymously dispose of their prescription drugs and
over‐the‐counter medication.
