Submit your Nominations Today for the
2ND Annual Garold M. “Jerry” Murphy Community Service Award
Recognition of good deeds is so important in
our fast-paced society! Won’t you take the
time to nominate someone in our community
who selflessly volunteers their time and
makes our community a better place to live?
This person should emulate Jerry’s best quali-
ties – a volunteer who possesses a can-do
spirit, is a good role model, exudes compas-
sion, maintains a positive attitude, and is respected in our community. Our first
award recipient was Ted Kronschnabel; who will be this year’s lucky winner?
Nomination forms can be found on the City of Mendota Heights website or at
City Hall and are due March 16, 2018. The recipient will be recognized at the
City Council meeting on April 17, 2018.

Mental Health isn’t just one person’s issue, or a family’s issue. As we see more and more,
it’s becoming everyone’s issue, and one that needs to be brought into the light and out of
the dark. If you or someone you know is struggling with any type of mental health issue,
please don’t go through it alone. Reach out, listen to each other, find resources, talk with
someone; let’s work together to get our family, friends and neighbors on the path to
wellness.
Here are some great resources to get you started. Interested in making a difference? Many
of the sites offer methods to get involved in policy around mental health.
