June 5th: City Council approves a resolution calling for a Public Hearing on Capital
Improvements Program, and Issuance of Bonds.
Notification: Publication of Public Hearing in Legal newspaper not less than 14 days, nor more
thrd
than 28 days in advance. (June 18 to July 3)
July 17th: Council holds the Public Hearing, and gives preliminary approval to
issue the bonds.

July 18: Start of 30 day Public Comment period when petition can be submitted
August 17: End of 30 day Public Comment period.

August 21: Council approval to proceed with architect contract, and if no valid
petition received, to issue the bonds.
Mid-August through Mid-November: Design finalization & construction
documents.
November 13th: (Special Meeting) Council approval to advertise for bids
December 13th: Bids due
Late January/February, 2019 - Bid award
March – April: Contractor mobilization, construction can begin as soon as weather
permits.
