Options to dispose of your leaves: Compost—Composting leaves and grass trimmings is an easy way to pro- duce a soil additive for use in gardens. Mulch– Mulch fallen leaves with a lawn mower and leave them on the ground, providing a natural fertilizer for lawns as the leaves decom- pose. Bag them– Bag the leaves up and dispose of them at a yard waste collection site. You can also check with your garbage hauler to see if they provide curbside service for collection of yard waste. Please use caution when driving through construction areas. 1 The latest from the Mendota Heights Police Department CHIEF Kelly McCarthy SERGEANTS Eric Petersen Tanner Spicer Peyton Fleming POLICE OFFICERS John Larrive Todd Rosse Jeff VonFeldt Denise Urmann Michael Shepard Nick Gorgos Philip McCarty Weston Raberge Peter Renteria Cara Hogan Tony Patton INVESTIGATIONS Chad Willson SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER Steve Hilyar COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER Eric Hagelee SUPPORT STAFF Kim Henning Trista Miller Shayna Hoechst Becky Pentel RESERVES Jim Knox Jeff Parker CHAPLAINS Butch Millett John Snider Alberto Vargas Lynn Liberman Sue Plucker Joel Detlefsen Lenny Andrie SEPTEMBER 22, 2017 CITATIONS State of Minnesota Citation#: 190000000000 190000000000 The receipt of a “Citation” or “Ticket” can be a stressor on the list of many other life stressors. However, the MN Courts have taken great strides to streamline the process and try to make it simpler for you. Citations are issued for city ordinance, traffic and criminal violations, ranging from petty misdemeanors to targeted misdemeanors. If you are issued a citation in the state of Minnesota, visit the MN Judicial Branch website, www.mncourts.gov/fines, to find helpful resources on payment and court options. You can also call 651.281.3219 or 1.800.657.3611. Here are some important FAQ’s to start you off:  Effective 7/1/2016, any citation issued in the state of MN is electronically submitted to the courts via the Statewide Standard Citation. Therefore, citation and court data is typically available quickly.  You must either pay your citation or schedule a court appearance within 30 days of the date the citation was issued.  To verify the fine amount and if it is a payable citation, have your citation handy when you are ready to use the website.  Payment of a citation equals pleading guilty to the violation and a waiver of right, resulting in a conviction of the charges listed on the citation and for some offenses, driving privilege restrictions.  Lack of payment or action on a citation will initiate notification by the courts to DVS/DPS and in some cases, it will go to warrant.  If you can’t view your citation number, your violation probably requires a mandatory court appearance and you will not be able to pay it via the court website. Juvenile citations will not be found via this site either.  The courts accept electronic payments online or over the phone, or you can send a check or money order to them by mail. If you have committed a violation and have received a citation, just take a deep breath, do your research and take care of your citation. 2 IDENTITY THEFT — 2XXX Field Stone Drive 9/8/2017, 1318 HOURS Complainant who lives on the 2300 block of Field Stone reported that unknown person(s) opened a credit card in his name and forwarded his mail to an unknown address in Atlanta, GA.
