I completed a statement of the suspected offender. No charges at this time; the incident that initiated this occurrence has also been solved. ASSAULT/MENTAL HEALTH—7XX Pontiac PL 06/30/2017, 1118 HOURS Officer responded to the 700 block of Pontiac Place concerning a group home client who assaulted a staff member. They are separated now. Client was cited for offense and placed on a welfare hold for further evaluation. FRAUD - 1XXX LEXINGTON AVE S 06/30/2017, 1504 HOURS Victim checked her checking account and found an unauthorized transaction. Victim reported this to her bank and was told to file a police report. Account statement received; case inactive pending additional suspect information. Surrendered License Plates—1XXX Victoria Curve 06/30/2017, 1830 hours Male needed to surrender licenses plates to police department to be destroyed due to DUI. Plates received and entered into evidence to be destroyed. GM DUI —Chippewa Ave/Annapolis St 07/01/2017, 0202 hours Officer observed a vehicle leave a local establishment at a high rate of speed. Observed the vehicle stop in the middle of the road and then move. Vehicle had a flat tire and rear bumper damage. Conducted field sobriety tests and driver was found to be impaired. Driver arrested and charged. The vehicle was towed. Domestic/False Info—1XXX 3rd St 07/01/2017, 0327 hours Officers called to location because of a disturbance between 2 females. Found one female who gave false info, name and date of birth. Citation issued. Spoke to second female stated that her boyfriend was just there, said she had an OFP against him, but did not have paperwork and no documentation was found in the system. Boyfriend no longer on scene. Female reporter transported to St. Paul. Disorderly/Mental Health—7XX Pontiac Pl 07/01/2017, 1343 hours Squads dispatched to a disturbance . Located client who attempted to assault a staff member. Client placed on transport hold and transported to local hospital by medics. Burglary/Theft - 7XX Pondhaven Ln 07/02/2016, 1201 hours Theft from attached garage . No suspects at this time. Investigation on-going. AOA—1XXX Promenade Pl, EA 07/02/2017, 1714 hours Assisted Eagan PD with a vehicle pursuit which came . Pursued vehicle into St. Paul where three suspects bailed and eventually were caught. No further action by MHPD. DISTURBANCE— 1XXX Mayfield Hts Rd 07/02/2017, 1734 hours Officers responded to home for a verbal argument. Officers mediated the argument and one of the parties agreed to leave and not come back. DUI/CVO - Delaware Ave/Emerson Ave 07/02/2017, 1803 hours Responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries. One driver had injuries and was transported to Regions via Health East. The other driver was suspected of being under the influence. PBT was given along with Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus and noted all clues. Driver taken into custody and a warrant was completed and filled out by judge. Blood draw taken. Driver transport to Dakota County Jail for booking. 3 DOMESTIC—1XXX 3rd St 07/03/2017, 1847 hours Officer received a phone call request from a woman who had been assaulted by her ex fiancé a couple days before. She was worried for her safety, her eight month old son's safety and the safety of her unborn child. An interview was conducted at the Police Department and the report will be forwarded for formal charging. THEFT FROM AUTO—1XXX Dakota Dr 07/04/2017, 0838 hours Officer responded to a theft from vehicle. Video is available, but not immediately. Pending investigation and suspect follow-up. TS/PURSUIT—Hwy 110/I-35E 07/04/2017, 1451 hours Officer attempted to make a traffic stop at Hwy 110 and I-35E for a traffic violation. The driver of the motorcycle fled and the officer terminated the pursuit less than 90 seconds later. CHECK WELFARE— 5XX Ashley Ln 07/05/2017, 2046 hours Officer was called to residence on a check welfare. Family members took car keys away from elderly parent for safety. Elderly parent was upset and situation was mediated. DOMESTIC ASSAULT—6XX Mayfield Hts Rd 07/06/2017, 1942 hours Officers responded to a 911 hang up. Incident turned out to be a domestic assault. The suspect left prior to police arrival. Injuries were photographed and a KOPS alert was placed for the suspect. The suspect was not located. This matter was forwarded to the City Attorney. MENTAL HEALTH/CRISIS—1XXX Sibley Memorial Hwy 07/06/2017, 2246 hours Dispatched to residence for mental health/crisis call. Father calling because he was worried about son's mental state. Spoke with all parties involved and it was determined that son would be put on transport hold. Roughly half of all injuries involving grills are thermal burns.  Propane and charcoal grills should only be used outdoors.  Place grill well away from the home, deck and overhanging trees.  Keep children and pets at least three feet away.  Keep your grill clean by removing grease buildup in the trays below.  Never leave your grill unattended.  Always make sure the lid is open before lighting it.  If the flame on a propane grill goes out, turn gas off and wait 5 min before lighting again.  Only use charcoal starter fluid.  Keep charcoal fluid away from children and heat sources.  Let the coals cool completely before disposing.  If you smell gas, step away and call 9-1-1.
