Res 66 - 60 Providing for the Vacation of a Portion of Laura StVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 4p(D RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF LAURA STREET WHEREAS, a petition has been duly presented to the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, signed by a majority of the owners of the property abutting on that part or portion of Laura Street situated between Second Street and Third Street in the Village of Mendota Heights, Dakota County, Minnesota, and WHEREAS, notice of a hearing on said petition has been duly published and posted more than two weeks before the date scheduled for a hearing on said petition, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said petition on Tuesday, November 1, 1966, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights, and WHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear all the persons interested in said petition and all persons interested were afforded an opportunity to present their views and objections to the granting of said petition, and WHEREAS, there were no objections presented to said petition. NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That the vacation of that part or portion of Laura Street situated between Second Street and Third Street in the Village of Mendota Heights is in the best interest of the public. 2) That part or portion of Laura Street situated between Second Street and Third Street in the Village of Mendota Heights be and the same hereby is vacated subject to and on condition that the abutting property owners grant to the Village of Mendota Heights an easement twenty (20) feet in width over, under and across the center of said street for municipal sewer and water purposes. 3) That upon the execution and delivery to the Village of said easement, the Village Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and present to the proper Dakota County officers, a notice of com- pletion of these vacation proceedings all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes.
