RESOLUTION NO. 143
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ENGINEER'S REPORT AND
CALLING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER
IMPROVEMENTS TO SERVE THE NORTHEAST AREA OF
THE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has submitted his report to the Village
Council with respect to the proposed construction of the following
improvements:
The construction of a storm sewer system, including
appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition
of easements, and the construction and reconstruction where
necessary of streets in the area hereinafter more particularly
described.
WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is
situated within the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota and
is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Delaware
Avenue and the centerline of Beebe Avenue; thence westerly
and northwesterly along the centerline of Beebe Avenue to the
centerline of Dodd Road; thence southwesterly along the center-
line of Dodd Road to its intersection with the southwesterly
line of Lot 16, Block 8, Kirchner Addition, extended; thence
northwesterly along the southwesterly line of said Lot 16
to the west corner of said Lot 16; thence southwesterly along
the back lot lines of Lot 9 through Lot 15, Block 8, Kirchner
Addition and its extension to the centerline of Partition Road;
thence northwesterly along the centerline of Partition Road to
the centerline of Butler Avenue; thence westerly along the
centerline of Butler Avenue to West lot lines of Lot 9, Lot
28, Lot 45 and Lot 64, Mechanics' Addition extended; thence
northerly along said west lines of said Lots 9, 28, 45 and 64,
to the centerline of McDonald Avenue; thence easterly along
the centerline of McDonald Avenue to the centerline of Kirchner
Avenue; thence northerly along the centerline of Kirchner Avenue,
and its extension, said extension also being the easterly line
of Ivy Falls East Addition, to the northeast corner of said Ivy
Falls East Addition; thence easterly along the north line of
Ivy Falls East Addition, extended, to the westerly line of
Guadalupe Heights, said westerly line being the west lot line
of Lot 15, Block 4, Guadalupe Heights; thence northerly along
said west lot line of said.Lot,`15,and its extension to the center-
line of Eugenia Street;'thence easterly along the centerline of
Eugenia Street to the northwesterlylot lines of Lot 8
through Lot 13, Block 1, Guadalupe Heights; thence northeasterly
along said northwesterly lot line to the northwest corner
of Lot 7, Block 1, Guadalupe Heights; thence easterly along
the north lot line of Lot 1 through Lot 7, Block 1, Guadalupe Heights
and its extension to the centerline of Chippewa Avenue; thence south
along the centerline of Chippewa Avenue to the north lot line
of Lot 21 and Lot 10, Posavad's Addition, extended; thence
easterly along said lot line of said Lot 21 and Lot 10, extended,
to the centerline of Delaware Avenue; thence south along the
centerline of Delware Avenue to the point of beginning and there
terminating. I
WHEREAS, in said report said Village Engineer reported that the proposed
improvements and construction thereof were feasible and desirable
and further reported on the proposed costs of said improvements.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY
RESOLVED, that the report of said Village Engineer be and is
hereby received, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing on said improve-
ments be held on Tuesday, May 28, 1968, at 8:30 o'clock P.M.
at the Mendota Elementary School in the Village of Mendota
Heights, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk, with the aid
and assistance of the Village Attorney, be and is hereby authorized
and directed to prepare a notice of said hearing and to cause
said notice to be published and mailed to the owners of the
property situated within said area, all in accordance with the
applicable Minnesota Statutes.
Adopted by the Village Council this 2nd day of April, 1968.
