Res 68 - 156 Authorizing Condemnation of Certain Lands for Park PurposesVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. / 1 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN LANDS FOR PARK PURPOSES WHEREAS, the Village Council has heretofore determined to acquire certain lands for park and open space purposes,and WHEREAS, the Village Council has heretofore retained Richard Parranto as its appraiser and negotiator with respect to the acquisition of the lands designated to be taken for said park and open space purposes, and WHEREAS, said Richard Parranto has reported to the Village Council that he has not been able to negotiate for the purchase of the parcels designated as Site No. 1 and Site No. 2, Parcel No. 3 in his appraisal report therefore previously submitted to the Council, and WHEREAS, the legal description of the parcel designated as Site No. 1 is more particularly described as follows: Lots 23, 24, 25 and 26, Block 22, Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 15, 16, 17 in Block 23, Lots;5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 12 in Block 24 and Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 in Block 25, all in Friendly Hills Re -Arrangement, Dakota County, Minnesota, and WHEREAS, the legal description of the parcel designated as Site No. 2, Parcel No. 3 is as follows: The West 140 feet of Lot 20, Caroline's Lakeview, subject to that part thereof taken for highway purposes situated in Dakota County, Minnesota. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: (1) That the Village Attorney be and is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the Village to acquire the above described property by eminent domain proceedings, including any vacated streets, rights and easements which may accrue to said property.
