NO. '� 1- RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ENGINEER'S REPORT AND CALLING FOR HEARING:ON.,PROPOSED`CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER DISTRIBUTION, SYSTEM;' SANITARY -ANDS STORM SEWER SYSTEMS, AND OF STREET, CURB*AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENTS TO SERVE HIGHLAND HEIGHTS SOUTH SUBDIVISION AND THE AREA ADJACENT THERETO WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has`submitted his report to the Village Council with respect to the proposed construction of the following improvements: The construction of a sanitary sewer system, including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets -in the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of a storm sewer system including appurtenances and incidentals thereto and the acquisition of easements, in and for the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of an extension to the Village water distribution system including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets in the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of street improvements consisting of the grading, stabilization, drainage and bituminous surfacing, and the construction of concrete curbs and gutters on the streets to be situated in the area hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is situated within the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and is more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point on the centerline of Lexington Avenue approximately 225 feet North of centerline of Marie Avenue (also identified as the intersection of the South line of Highland Heights South Addition with Lexington Avenue); thence North along the centerline of Lexington Avenue to its intersection with the North line of said Highland Heights South Addition; thence Easterly along the said North line of said plat to its intersection with the Southwest corner of Lot Twenty -Three (23), Block One (1) Tilsen's Highland.Heights Addition, Plat Three (3); thence Northerly along the Westerly line of said Lot Twenty -Three (23) to the Northwest corner of said Lot Twenty -Three (23); thence Southeasterly along the Northerly lige of Lot Twenty -Three (23) to the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southerly along the East lane of Lot Twenty -Three (23) to its Southeast corner; thence Easterly along the North line of Highland Heights South Addition to where its extension intersects the centerline of Victoria Road; thence North along the centerline of Victoria to the intersection of the centerline of Douglas Road; thence Easterly a distance of 300 feet; thence Southerly and parallel to Victoria to the South line of Section Twenty -Three (23); thence Westerly a distance of 600 feet; thence Northerly to the South line of Highland Heights South; thence Westerly along the South line of Highland Heights South to the point of beginning, and there terminating. WHEREAS, in said report said Village Engineer reported that the proposed improvements and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed costs of said improvements. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the report of said Village Engineer be and is hereby received, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing on said improvements be held on Tuesday, September 3, 1968, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk, with the aid and assistance of the Village Attorney, be and is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a notice of said hearing and to cause said notice to be published and mailed to the owners of the property situated within said area, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes.
