RESOLUTION NO. 190,,
RESOLUTION VACATING A PART OF THAT
CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS LAURA STREET
WHEREAS, a petition has been duly presented to the Village Council
of the Village of Mendota Heights, signed by a majority of the owners
of the property abutting upon the following described street situated
in the Village of Mendota Heights, Dakota County, Minnesota, to -wit:
That part or portion of Laura Street situated. between
Second Street and Third Street in the Village of Mendota
Heights, which street is also more particularly described
as that certain street running in a northerly and southerly
direction between Block Ten (10) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision
No. 3 and Block Three (3) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 4,
the northerly line of which would be the northerly line of
said Block Ten (10) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 3
and Block Three (3) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 4
extended, and the southerly line of,which would be the
south line of said Block Ten (10) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision
No. 3 and Block Three (3) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 4
extended.
WHEREAS, notice of a hearing on said petition has been duly published
and posted more than two weeks before the date scheduled for a hearing
on said petition, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota
Statutes, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said petition on Tuesday,
October 15, 1968, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the
Village of Mendota,Heights, and»_:'
WHEREAS, the Village`Council then proceeded to hear all the persons
interested in said petition and all persons interested were afforded
an opportunity to present their views and objections to the granting
of said petition, and- •
WHEREAS, there were no objections presented to said petition.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1) That the vacation of that part of the street described
above situated in the Village of Mendota Heights is in the
best interest of the public and the Village.
2) That the following described street situated in the
Village of Mendota Heights in Dakota County, Minnesota, to -wit:
That part or portion of Laura Street situated between
Second Street and Third Street in the Village of Mendota
Heights, which street is also more particularly described
as that certain street running in a northerly and southerly
direction between Block Ten (10) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision
No. 3 and Block Three (3) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 4,
the northerly line of which would be the northerly line of
said Block Ten (10) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 3
and Block Three (3) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No: 4
extended, and the southerly line of which would be the
south line of said Block Ten (10) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision
No. 3 and Block Three (3) of T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 4
extended.
be and the same is hereby vacated.
3) That the Village Clerk be and is hereby authorized
and directed to prepare and present to the proper Dakota County
officers a notice of completion of these vacation proceedings
all in accOrd&nce with the applicable Minnesota Statutes.

Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights this
15th day of October, 1968.
