Res 69 - 193 Approving Plans & Specifications & Ordering Advertisement for Bids for Extension of the Village Sanitary Sewer System & Water Distribution System Along Hwy 13Village of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 193 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFI- CATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT C FOR BIDS FOR EXTENSION OF THE VILLAGE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM ALONG STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY NO. 13 WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has submitted his report to the Village Council with respect to the proposed construction of that part of Improvement No. 4, Project No. 7 consisting of the construction of the Village's interceptor sanitary sewer system along State Trunk Highway No. 13 from Ramp No. 3 (Interstate Highway No. 35E) to Lexington Avenue, including the construction of all incidentals and appurtenances thereto (which improvements shall hereafter be referred to as Improvement No. 4, Project No. 7G), and WHEREAS, the Village Council has heretofore determined that it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary that the Village of Mendota Heights construct said improvements and has heretofore ordered that said improvements be made and, has further directed that the Village Engineer proceed with the .preparation of plans and specifications therefore, and ,. WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for said improvements and has presented such plans and specifications to the Village Council for approval, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has submitted his"report to the Village Council with respect to the proposed construction of an extension of the Village water distribution system including appurtenances and inci- dentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements and the construction and reconstruction where necessary of streets to serve the area along State Trunk Highway No. 13 between said Ramp No. 3 and Lexington Avenue and the area adjacent thereto, which area is more particularly described in the resolution adopted by the Council on October 1, 1968 entitled, "Resolution Ordering Construction of an Extension to Village Water Distribution System", and WHEREAS, the Village Council has heretofore determined that it is advisable, feasible; expedient and necessary that the Village of Mendota Heights construct said improvements and has heretofore ordered that said improvements be made, and has further directed that the Village Engineer proceed with the preparation of plans and specifications for that part of said improvements consisting of the extension of the Village water distribution system along State Trunk Highway No. 13 from said Ramp No. 3 to Lexington Avenue (which improvements shall hereafter be referred to as Improvement No. 68, Project No. 3), and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for said Improvement No. 68, Project No. 3 and has presented such plans a ,. 4 -- and specifications to the Village Council for approval, and WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined to combine said two improve- ment projects for purpose of obtaining bids therefore on said combined improvement projects. NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: k 1) That the plans and specifications for said Improvement No. 4, Project No. 7G and said Improvement No. 68, Project No. 3 be and they are hereby in all respects approved. 2) That said Improvement No. 2, Project No. 7G and said Improve- ment No. 68, Project No. 3 be combined for the purpose of obtaining construction bids therefor. 3) That the Village Clerk with the aid and assistance of the Village Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for said improvements all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, such bids to be received at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights by 2:00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, November 25, 1968 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Village Council Chambers of the Village Hall by at least one of the members of the Village Council and the Village Engineer, will then be tabulated and will then be considered by the Village Council at its next regular Council meeting.
